Truthfully I'm fine with 12 (or even 16) if we keep auto-bids to just conference champs as it currently is. I don't want any of that (SEC and Big 10 top 4 teams have a guaranteed spot BS).
Make first two rounds on campus. Every game is on a Friday or Saturday. No more of this Thursday and Monday mess.

I don't mind if we have 12 over 8, but the G5 bids need to stop. I wouldn't consider a G5 team unless they're undefeated.

Truthfully that's largely why I like 16 over 12. No one gets a first round bye. The top 4 teams "reward" is a home game against teams seeded 13-16

The problem is 12 teams adds AT LEAST an extra week to the calendar. There is no way to align the CFB season, the playoffs, the portal and School academic calendars with 12 teams.
