Not really accurate.
Jimmy Rane is worth about $1.5B and the Harbert’s are worth around $6.6B. Both are Auburn boosters
Jim Stephens (EBSCO) is worth about $4B and Jack Comer’s daughter Jane is worth about $2.5B
The chairman of Meyer Electric Charles Collat is worth about $1.2B
Those guys don’t donate to athletics, just to academics and other charitable contributions.

The only thing keeping Georgia afloat is Atlanta which is why they have so many billionaires. Without ATL the state would be a poverty stricken hellhole with very little wealth

Warren Buffett and Bill Gates def. don't.

Bama didn't put them in the NFL, Saban did.
Saban is the goat for a reason but to think Bama hasn't been putting good players in the NFL before then is being disingenuous. Bama had legendary players in the NFL before Saban got here and will do so after Saban.

Jimmy Raine aka YellaFella would like a word.
But he roots for the good guys in state.

Tuscaloosa got billions from the Oil spill and Katrina.

The real question isn't the # of Billionaires in each state, it's the number of that are ALUMNI of each school. (Eg Oregon and Nike Money.)
Because a Billionaire is going to be a sidewalk fan of a school and donate millions...

Well in that case Tim Cook is an Auburn alum and CEO of Apple. Worth a few billion too.

No offense to Alabama, but if you are a billionaire from Alabama, chances are your primary residence will not be in Alabama.
That does not mean Alabama has no billionaire supporters.

So your saying all results from now forward are based on money and not quality of program

Pretty sure the Nevilles are in the Billionaire club or very close to it, but they live I think in ATL.

Exactly my point...

How does this explain LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn's recruiting success?
Because our billionaires are smart enough to have an official home address in Texas or Florida so they can save on taxes. Just because the boosters live in a certain state doesn't mean they support that state's schools.

This is what they tweeted.
The upshot of why Alabama football is doomed in the new NIL model - number of billionaires living in each state:
Alabama - 0
Ohio - 7
Georgia - 18
Texas - 73
Florida - 78
California - 186
And this won't increase parity. It just means a handful of schools will dominate even more.
Alabama can do what LSU has done since Saban left LSU. You go back and you really recruit your home state. Alabama produces enough 4 star guys and high 3***, who if properly coached and developed, can turn into upper tier SEC players.
Miles at LSU was great and recruiting our State, signed most of the 4**** and occasional 5***** (sometimes lost 1 or 2 high 4 or 5***** to Saban) but he really succeeded if people are honest about ole Crazy Lester and identifying those very talented 3*** across LA that back then Rivals, Scout, ESPNU did not properly evaluate, etc
Bama without Saban is not going to go now in Southern California and pull the top players there, and then go into Florida and pull the top players there, do the same thing in Texas, etc, etc.
In my view, they can go back to their home state base and sign 15-18 Alabama guys who will run through a wall to play for Bama, get your share of 4**** from instate, the 5***** that is n a class that year and compliment it with 3*** from in-state with lots of upside. Then you compliment your in-state recruits with players from surrounding areas, you pick up 3 guys from GA, 3 from FL, 3 from TX a few from MS, LA, TN, etc.

Louisiana has 2 billionaires. And both enjoy LSU sports

If I were a billionaire the last thing I would give a shite about is CFB

This is the dumbest post. Washington has three of the richest guys in the world who could buy 50% of the Forbes 400. But they don’t care about husky football.
