Jacobs had a good game in 2018, but Hurts was robbed of the MVP.

Nice post! I can’t believe how old those first few pictures look. Damn, I feel ancient.

Fun fact that I discovered when compiling this list is that Florida's Danny Wuerffel is the only repeat MVP.

What are you talking about? Wuerffel is one of the classiest guys to ever play in the SEC.

That's an impressive list.

I hate Auburn, but I'll admit that I've run into Jason Campbell while he was still an active NFL QB, and he was a cool cat. More interested in talking about how to landscape his parent's yard than his exploits as an NFL QB.

He had to have been some kind of south Mississippi exception to the rule.

So frick Auburn.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing! Only 5 defensive MVP (1 DT). Bet he had an incredible game

2015 season was a thing of beauty with Derrick Henry. Guy just took over the 4th quarter of games. There's nothing better than running the ball down an opponent's throat when they know it's coming and they still can't stop it.

It was a different style but that's what the 2013 Auburn team did to a lot of teams. Everyone in the stadium knew Mason or Marshall was running the ball and couldn't do a damn thing to stop it.

It's when Gus was at his best. He'd run the same play until you stopped it. And just be over there yelling "run it again."

Yeah Gus had it going on in his early days. Problem was he was a one trick pony and when defenses started to learn how to slow down his offense he didn't have a Plan B. And he couldn't develop a quarterback.
