Pretty sure that would mean whoever the SEC champion was from the East would be the auto-bid into the Sugar bowl since conference champions are guaranteed a spot in a BCS bowl and then they can only take two from each conference between the bowls.

Dammit Dale.

That's not at all what they're saying. Not at all.

Here we go again.

They are assuming that Ole Miss will beat Vandy. This will not happen. Anchor Down.

No, they mean with Alabama in the National Title game, Texas A&M, by virtue of a good season, ends up in the Sugar. Florida, in the Cap One bowl, is their pick to win the East and lose to Bama in the SECCG.

But how can A&M be in the sugar bowl if they didn't win the SEC, and another team from their same division goes to the Nat'l title game? Unless he meant to say that they lost to Alabama, which cost them a spot in the SEC title game. Then that would make sense.

Either way, his grammar ----->

So they are basing this year on last years ending. This sounds objective.

The Sugar Bowl gets to select who they want if the winner of the SEC goes to the BCS title game. So, yes, he's saying Alabama goes undefeated and to the BCS title game. Texas A&M loses one game, but it's to fellow SEC West team Alabama, so they don't go to the title game. At 11-1, they go to the Sugar Bowl. Florida probably ends up with 2 losses after the SECCG, so they go to the Cap One bowl.

I would much rather watch Stanford vs Bama in the NC game. Braxton Miller would not play well against Bama.

Same here. Unlike Notre Dame, Stanford would probably give Bama a good game.

If the season played out like this Vandy would be in the Liberty not Compass. Compass had first pick last year and they rotate with Compass for an SEC participant, at least they have in previous years.

It wouldn't be the most exciting, but it'd be one competitive and physical game, no doubt.

Too bad Harbaugh left a few years ago, I'd love to see him and Saban matchup.

Stanfords front seven is going to be beastly this year...probably one of the best we've seen in the Pac for a long time. They return return 10/11 starters on defense and the secondary was young and came along nicely last year. Plus Shane Skov played at 80% last year and he looks close to 100% again. I love Oregon's DL this year (probably our best rivaling that of Ngata and Olshansky) but our linebacking corp lost Dion Jordan (3rd pick overall), Alonso (2nd round) and Michael Clay (signed free agent). The latter was actually the brains of our defense but undersized for the NFL.

Stanford's issue will imo is how the adapt without Toilolo and Ertz. They have been using three tightends for awhile I don't see that going into next season.
