COOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Seven people have been arrested and warrants have been issued for an eighth suspect following a drug investigation in Goodwater, according to the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrests were carried out by deputies and investigators assigned to the Clay-Coosa Narcotics Task Force, targeting the distribution and possession of illegal controlled substances in the area.
Authorities identified the following suspects and the charges they were arrested on.
Lonnie Grogan, 49: Possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
Stormie Bobo, 38: Possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Mulkey, 43: Possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
Tonya Brown, 45: Possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
Samantha Pitts Sly, 47: Chemical endangerment of a child, second-degree possession of marijuana, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Chandler Sly: Chemical endangerment of a child, second-degree possession of marijuana, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Barbara Butler, 62: Second-degree possession of marijuana, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
“Our deputies and investigators remain committed to identifying individuals who bring illegal narcotics into our community and hold those responsible accountable,” Coosa County Sheriff Michael Howell said in a statement. “These arrests are the result of dedicated investigative work, and we will continue working to protect the citizens of Coosa County from the dangers associated with illegal drugs.”
Officials stated the investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests or charges may follow.

Just looking at those photos, it’s amazing that they were able to function throughout the day. Much less run a narcotics empire.

Alabama is desperate to try and tie this to Louisiana lol. They have zero Louisiana ties. But we all know that.

Do you have a photo of them smiling? If they still have all their teeth then they might be from Alabama. If they missing most of them then we know they would be from Louisiana
