ragged on Louisiana in the other thread but the only other state similar to Louisiana in the SEC in terms of abject poverty is Mississippi.

Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kentucky all rank in the bottom 10 of per household income and most of those ranking equally low in education.

There’s not much for any of them to be proud. Thats why sports and, particularly football are so important.

If I were the Rebels, I wouldn’t worry too much about LSU’s financial situation.

It would be if the coach, athletic dept personnel, or some other LSU employee told the players they would cover the contract penalties if they entered the portal and transferred to LSU

That would be between LSU and the athlete. The athlete has to pay Ole Miss regardless; they're the ones who broke the contract.

Just post the terms of the contracts rather than speculating.

Seems like Ole Miss is as bad at financial planning as I.

What an idiot, there's no L, S, or U in "we are broke". As dumb as you are, you must have played football.

You think it would cost $1M in legal fees to submit some documents to the court?

OM already stated it would rather not litigate if contract terms agreed are fulfilled.

If, if, if, if…

Land Sharts grasping at all the hypotheticals to try and stick it to LSU however they can.

Sad, but also very comical.

I keep seeing Ole Miss fans claiming that LSU staff promised to pay the buyout, but all I can find online is that Ole Miss is considering legal action...

Did LSU actually promise these players to pay the buyout? Or is this something they came up with after hearing about Ole Miss planning on taking legal action? I have yet to see any sort of source on this. But this is a common thing with Ole Miss fans - (Still waiting on the bathroom narcan source )

Can an Ole Miss fan, with an actual citable source weigh in on this?

Very much not a hypothetical situation. The penalties listed in contract terms will absolutely be paid whether it be willingly or forced. LSU simply taking the hard way out thinking there is some game to be played on repayment.

Your entire statement is a hypothetical, you have zero idea what the terms are.

Care to guess? Do you think the revenue sharing agreement contains no penalty clause for breach of contract?

I have no idea, no use wasting time on hypotheticals.
