Lol as bad a season we’re having (and it will get worse), nobody can take away the greatest season in college football history just this past year. LSU fans like myself are upset about the start of this season, sure, but we are still riding that high that no one can deny happened. All you teams upsetting us this year, you will never reach the success LSU has reached.

It's called the Linear National Championship and there are websites that actually track it. It works just like a belt, where it passes to the winner and they retain it until they lose.
So far this season LSU started with it, then it went to State when they beat them, then Arkansas when they beat State, then Auburn when they "beat" Arkansas.

Fwiw, I saw this on social media and wanted to see what the reaction would be on here.
I do consider LSU the defending national champions. They certainly lost a lot of players and schemes with the coaches they lost. LSU does need to stop letting me down in games they should win.
