Brennan will almost certainly be a step down from Burrow, but we expect good things from him since he’s been Burrow’s understudy.

Pelini is a proven defensive mind — we know this first hand. He helped us win a title before as our DC.

Our OC called most of the plays last season, and we now have Brady’s spread concepts baked into our system.

I mean, most of us don’t expect the results of this past season, but there is still reason to be optimistic.

I don’t see any LSU fans predicting us to again go 15-0 with a Heisman winner and a million other award winners and draft picks

But we expect to still be pretty good and to beat Texas A&M for sure.

The guy that has put together elite recruiting since he's been here and has made the transition to the spread offense which just turned in the best season ever?

I'm not saying we are going to match what happened in 2019. It may never be matched. But, to act like we are going to suck or even be mediocre is ridiculous. The best teams lose the best players and coaches every year and still all the same teams at the top.

That's been the response throughout this silly thread.

LSU only won because of a once in 3 generations QB and home state advantage in title game.

Everyone with a brain knows that it was.
It would have been a perfect storm for any team.

We could have played that game on the moon and you still wouldn't have measured up. The Easter Island transman is still overthrowing receivers.

The response is more clowns acting like we should just board up the program now. As if this wasn't our 3rd NC in the last 16 years. Some how, some way, LSU will manage to win at a high level after 2019

Herschel played at UGA 40 years ago. That's the last time UGA had lightning in a bottle.

LSU has trophies from 2003, 2007, and 2019...

To be fair, it’s the perfect storm for any team during a championship season. Acting like LSU is the only team that needed things to fall into place is dumb.

Every championship comes with some luck and it usually is a case of multiple instances.

Yeah, and all Georgia can collect in a bottle would be lightning bugs (fireflies).

LSU has won National Title with three different head coaches in the past 17 years. Chances are we have another one coming up before Kirby can find his arse with both hands.

Agreed. I could understand someone saying it to LSU in 2007, but not this one. Orgeron proved to be a great CEO type coach and did what Kirby couldn’t thus far, and that’s hire the right OC and give him control of the offense.
