How many guys who last 2 weeks in a preseason football camp are forever referred to as former professional football players? Basically it's more like a tryout.....

I did not see it. But a good lawyer can craft a question that God himself would have trouble answering.
I imagine he asked Sankey if some never heard of international team was a pro team, and Sankey was not sure if they were affiliated with one of the forbidden leagues.

There are a ton of international basketball teams out there. Hundreds if not thousands. I don’t doubt that Sankey does not know the affiliation of every one of them.
I am guessing the lawyer was fishing with a question like “are the Promitheaus Patras considered a professional team?”
Who would know who they are affiliated with unless one looked it up. I did, they are an independent Greek league team that does not appear to be affiliated with any of the prohibited leagues, thus they would not be considered pro.
Let me ask you a question. Are the Ironi Ness Ziona considered a pro team?

I think the person is asking when is a player considered professional. Is it when they DONT get paid to participate in a rookie mini camp? Is it when they sign a preseason contract and then get cut? Is it when they make the roster and sign at least a 1 year deal? I know you dont seem very intelligent but Im sure you can see the nuance of this situation.

All Sankey has to do is point to the statute in the bylaws that corroborate what they consider a professional athlete. There is nothing to think about. Just point to it, reference it, something. Instead we get "I dunno"

Every player being paid to be on a roster. Its laughable that argument in today's CFB.

Here you go. This is what the SEC defines as a pro player. Someone who has done one or more of the following is a pro.
