Football needs more time to prepare. Especially with no spring. Without it tackling would suffer, injuries would be higher

SEC wanted the ACC and the Big 12 to be the guinea pigs. They have let others make decisions and have been in a wait and see mode this whole time. Let the other conferences make mistakes and learn from them. Probably a good thing in uncharted waters.

You don't sound like a leader.

They’re actually a big draw at our university—one of the more popular sports.
Of course, that’s because they’re good.

We’ve made the NCAA tourney every since since 1995 and out of the first round since 1998. 17x conference champ (program started in 1993). We just can’t see to get over the hump. 6 Elite 8s and 1 College Cup yet no titles yet.

Because Soccer usually has an earlier start than traditional fall sports at most levels. My daughter's 13U team had tryouts in July, practices in early August, and their first game was a friendly on Aug 16th. They've already played a tournament in ATL the following weekend, and two more season games since then. Had one scheduled this weekend but it was down near the coast where Sally just went through, so it is cancelled for now. If preteen girls can play in mid August I don't see an issue with college teams getting started earlier than football.

Georgia started fall youth soccer August 8. First week of GA Premier League was August 22 and SCCL regular season started last weekend.
I've been on the pitch refereeing for a month.

Do football players have amnesia when it comes to tackling?

Because they aren't worried about all the hard legs hitting on them.

Do you honestly think that’s funny?
Genuinely curious.
Or are you wanting 15-year-olds to give you an upvote?
So ridiculous.
