I love how only 1 person has brought up Auburn having a shot, go ahead sleep on Chizik and staff.

I'm a realist. LSU, Bama and Arky all have good shots to win. Auburn does not.

By the way, in the thread I was taking up for you and Cutie said it would be funny to watch me and you watching an IB together.

I told her it probably wouldn't be a good idea though we would otherwise probably get along fine as long as it wasn't watching the IB.

I could see Auburn fighting with Miss State for 3rd behind Bama and Arkansas.

5 years is a long time in College Football.

Arky,Auburn,Bama,LSU all have a shot.

I'm curious as to why you don't see this happening.

Hell, I could see Mississippi State winning the West.

We've seen that and not Ole Miss already.

Totally agree. The SEC West is gonna be exciting football to watch in the next 5 years.

I think Bama wins at least 3 of the next 5 Western titles, maybe 4 or 5?

Bama is on a roll. I have questions about LSU, Arkansas, and Aubie:

LSU- has the talent, but not enough talent to overcome Miles' coaching. This is especially true given the coaching talent in the SECw now

Ark- has a great offense, but will they build an SEC defense? I also have questions about recruiting.

Aub- has certainly exceeded expectations; however, I wonder how much of a drop-off will occur when Malzahn gets his HC gig(after next season I'm betting.)

I just think five years is an awful long time to be confident in any predictions.

Five years ago it would have been difficult to imagine Nick Saban at Alabama, a lot of Florida fans were a little queasy that Spurrier was coming back to Florida, a lot of folks were predicting years of Georgia dominance of the SEC...

LSU WILL NOT be an "afterthought". LSU will get their ship righted "quick" and become a top force yearly in the SEC West. "Righting" the ship will start with the firing of Crowton. Porter is going to Memphis. Miles will be fired after next year if he does not win at least 10 games IMHO! LSU is probably in the best recruiting spot in the SEC, definitely in the SEC West.

I think the LSU/Arky game is huge for LSU's future. So far recruiting hasn't been affected by our recent slide, Miles seems to be on track for another top 5 class. But you know those recruits saw the Ole Miss game and the rival recruiters are certainly gonna be harping on it. A big win tonight is critical to hold those recruits.

Petrino has a shotgun approach to recruiting, soooo many offers, so little commits. What is Arky's offence going to look like after Mallet leaves? Wilson is average at best.

It NEEDS to start with the firing of Miles.

but it won't.

That's a good point. If I'm an Arkansas fan I'm concerned that the top running back in the country is in his backyard and basically says he's not coming to Arkansas b/c the head coach will not develop a relationship with him. If I'm an Arkansas fan that hurts b/c no one was going to say that from about 98 to 2007.

LSU is going to be loaded in two years like Florida was last year, and Arky could compete if they finally get a D and their O stays on the right track.
