does Chizik not run a 4-3 anyway? If so it's a different style Lb. One is a bigger hybrid DE/LB type. The other is smaller, quicker.

Chizik is a very good coach. Sabin is also a very good coach. I think over time Chizik will be the better coach and recruiter. Recruiting the state of Bama seems to be fairly equal right now that coaching situations are stablized.
wouldn't it be funny if when he comes offthe field they all just decide to BOOOOO

I need to call this guy out on a few things. WRT. Is that short for "wart" or something?

is it an obsession?
He does have a couple more important games to play this year. I am crossing my fingers and hoping he stays healthy. I cringe when he's racing down the field and 4 bandits want to kill him.

Poor game plan.
leave Tim Tebow in this game?

It seems like Tebow stays in blow out games too long. I am beginning to really question some of Urban Meyer's decisions. I wonder where he'd be without Tebow.

They way to win in the SEC is not to have a QB as Heisman. In the SEC you want your QB to be the driver of the bus. Not make mistakes, not have to do anything glamorous. That type of play does not get heisman consideration. Give the heisman to a runningback from the SEC or qb from the big12. Or hell give it to Jerrell Powe. Who cares about the award anyway? I never know who wins it.
Nutt is not the type of coach that wants the QB to win or lose the game b/c it's very very hard to go on the road in the SEC with that philopshy and win in a loud arena. Defense and running stand a better chance to win long-term. That's why qb coaches except Spurrier have gotten eatten in the SEC and really Spurrier is getting eatten in a more mediocre program.
It can't be done at Arkansas b/c the competition is too strong. Look at Lsu for instance. They have about ten 4 star players in LA. I think 8 of them are committed to Lsu. Then look at Georgia, 27 four star players. Missippi has 10 four star players. Alabama has about 15. Arkansas has 1 five star and 1 4 star and there is a good chance neither are signing with Arkansas this year.

Impossible task.
he wasn't below average . He had one of the top 5 or 6 passer ratings in the SEC for 3 years.
Most of Arkansas SEC years was with a coach they ran off. If you look at how Msu played today against a very good Ole Miss team and evaluate how recruiting is going for everyone in the west it's hard to see Arkansas getting out of the basement of the SEC west any time soon. They'll win a few good games at home but I don't see them getting over 2-6 to 3-5. They can't build defense up there.
That's a good point. If I'm an Arkansas fan I'm concerned that the top running back in the country is in his backyard and basically says he's not coming to Arkansas b/c the head coach will not develop a relationship with him. If I'm an Arkansas fan that hurts b/c no one was going to say that from about 98 to 2007.
I completely disagree about championship.

Where in their recent recruiting or history do they have championship potential? They have had one good recruit class recently which if you check was about middle of the pack in the SEC considering who enrolled and is still there. The 05 and 07 classes were below SEC average.

Ole Miss problem this year was offensive line, and not alot of depth at LB or DB. People think Oregeron was a great recruiter but he basically recruited defensive line. Every other posistion was below average. Nutt is a very good coach, bordering on hall of fame in my opinion, but the expectations Arkansas fans and now Ole Miss fans put on him b/c he couldn't bring their perenial bottom feeder a national championship is ridiculous.
I can understand throwing it a little bit but going for a deep ball when you are up 24 yet totally shutting down the other offense is where, I'm not sure you have to do that. I can understand it but against a lifeless team if you do it understand karma's a bitch
Even though I like OM do you guys remember last year with under a minute left in the first half Nutt went for a deep ball already up 24 nothing in a game it was obvious Msu couldn't move the ball?

I rememeber looking at my dad and saying "Nutt needs to not do stuff like that it will come back to haunt him" It came back to haunt him today. He had won 10 straight against MSU previously. I think he probabaly showed Gus Malzhan some disrespect when he was an assistant back in 06. Malzhan slapped him around like a little bitch this year too. I guess that's karma for ya.
Alot of fans never take into consideration the talent that left a good team. It only bases their expectations on the talent that is coming back.

One thing I have noticed is that 2006 was the recruiting class that produced almost all the good players for 08 and 09. The 07 class wasn't that great and the 08 class had some holes after the coaching change.

The 2009 class looks very promising especially now that some of those kids have qualified from Hargrave and it appears Ole Miss will follow that up with an equally strong 2010 class. Nutt even said he thinks they'll have as good or better of a class. If so, that's 2 great classes in a row that look similar to the 06 class. If that's the case, Ole Miss could be very very strong in the years to come. I've always thought Nutt was a very strong recruiter. He locked down the state of Arkansas for years and now has stolen alot of difference makers out of that state.

You must have remembered it pretty well. He owns your soul it seems.
Ole Miss can.

Arkansas is not recruiting well enough. When their best athletes are leaving the state for other SEC programs that's the sign of a coaching staff that won't last long. If Ole Miss signs another good class which they are on tap to do I think they can win it. Lsu is about to be an after thought I think.
