If enough fans complained, quit buying tickets, and refused to support the program because of him. If the "Whistler" buys his tickets and causes no other problems could this happen?

Of course they can. Just ban him from games.

I'm sure they can, but I wouldn't want to do it. The Streisand Effect comes to mind in this scenario.

Vandy works differently cause they’re a private school. I imagine they could do what they want right

Disturbing the peace.

I'm surprised the VU fans don't raise hell about it.

They wouldn't have to. He said he'd stop if Corbin asked him to.

Just get Corbin to ask him to.

They love it. He wouldn't have been doing this act for years, at home and on the road, if Vandy fans opposed him

Yeah, right after they legally stop allowing fans to use cowbells at sporting events.

Ross beat me. Well done, Ross.

Yep, the SEC really made a mistake overlooking it all of those years. It was not so bad when they had a smaller stadium, but now that they have a bigger one. It is time for them to give them up.

so......what's your point? You didn't address OP's question at all, but just built a strawman to make some irrelevant statement

I love the ignorance that comes out in cowbell conversations.

If the Vandy fans like it, then I guess they can keep it up at home. Security should be able to stop them at away games, though, if fans sitting around the whistlers complain.

No, they don't. I work with tons of Vandy grads and have gone to tons of games over the years.

A lot of them put up with it, but I have not heard anyone say they enjoy it. Most of my coworkers and friends say they fricking hate it. A lot of people, especially that sit near him, have begged him to stop.

The three whistle, three clap chant is a bit different, they'll participate in that sometimes, but that is not what the whistling normally is. The constant random whistling is not something people are fans of.

The guy is an selfish idiot. Claims he is doing it to support the team, etc.

But 1 of the guys has a "whistler" jersey, has a "whistler" team van and someone mentioned last night his daughter laughs because no one can make him stop.

Yeah..it aint about the team for that narcissistic a-hole.

I will stop short of wishing bad on the guy...but most Vandy fans and the rest of college baseball fans will enjoy watching Vandy games more once he is no more in this life...what a great legacy he has.

And to hell with Corbin for his stance on it as well.

A state fan complaining about 1 guy whistling.

A state fan. A group that fills a stadium with cowbells that are technically already banned.
