If Georgia loses to Auburn and beats LSU . . .

Are they skipped over for the playoffs if others continue to win?

They make it in

Playoffs would be Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, and Georgia

What if the loss to Auburn is ugly (10+ points and not close)?

Alabama's not making it to the playoffs this year.

You boys seem to be having a real hard time coping with this reality.

This year we have a chance to find out if Uga can beat LSU(Highly unlikely), would they make the playoffs with two losses?

They're out unless OU or Oregon/Utah lose again.

A two loss SEC champion will not make the playoffs if the PAC12 and B12 champions have only one loss.

Rece brought up that same question on the playoff show. I think everyone agreed Georgia would have to be in.

Sure. Let us say that the top SEC teams all begin dropping games down the home stretch. If the SEC champ has two losses, and at least one of those is against a team they should have absolutely buried, then the SEC gets to sit at home for the playoffs.

What are the odds of this happening? Not particularly great and it would take an epic collapse by multiple teams but in theory it could happen.

I mean it happened with Penn State and Ohio State in the Big 10 three years ago. Why should a two-loss UGA with a loss to a bad South Carolina team at home jump a one-loss LSU or Ohio State if they lose to Penn State next week?

I really don't they make it but it would be very weird if LSU got in after losing that game.

Georgia isn't getting in with 2 losses. no way no how. bama would get in over 2 loss SEC champion Georgia and rightfully so.

It's not looking like a two loss team can make it unless there are some upsets. If Clemson and OSU win out that's two spots locked up and there is probably going to be multiple one loss conference champions.

You aren’t getting in without the SEC championship , outside of total chaos

First of all, UGA would get in. If the playoff committee was dumb enough to leave UGA out, LSU would get in over Bama. Bama done. They will have maybe 1 win over a top 25 team

LSU has this one vital element that would enable them to get in as a nonconference champion, and Alabama doesn’t have it: quality wins.

And all these gumps in denial are yapping, “WE’RE GETTIN’ EE’IN! ‘CAUSE WE’RE ALABUMMA!!”

If the game was real close with Lsu and your pac 12 with Oregon did their thing, I think it could really be a possibility of Lsu being the only sec team in. Ohio St 1, Clemson 2, Lsu 3, Oregon 4. Quality wins would trump a close win over Lsu by Georgia.

If Georgia loses to Auburn...then their next game determines the East and either team from the East at that point likely would miss the playoffs with two losses and a 1 loss Bama or LSU would be in over them
