He goes on former Bulldog player, KJ Wright's podcast and it's the first topic to come up. Of course Cam answers honestly, because he is an honest guy. And it all came down to Boobie Dixon's drunk uncle wanting Chris Relph at QB over Cam.

It's a half hour show but the first 4 minutes address the AU/MSU decision.
LINK

ETA: Bama fans will appreciate Cam's candor in discussing how Carolina has let Bryce You g down by fielding such a shitty team around him.

Yeah, I will take the word of the guy who was there and experienced it over the stranger on the internet and his claims that have already been investigated and found no wrongdoing.

$180k is what MSU offered so what Auburn paid is probably closer to $200k.

Very bad move by MSU not to pony up the cash in hindsight.

You can't be this naive. Of course he took money because that's just how it's done. It doesn't make him a bad guy or AU cheaters in my opinion because I believe everyone was and is doing it.

Miss State couldn’t match because of the awkward situation he dad created when bringing up the money issue

Cam didn’t take a dime. His dad was where the money went.

Reenactment of State not jumping on the opportunity when they had the chance.

Auburn didn't pay. Cam came here to win. Starkville is a shithole now, but it was 10x worse in 2010, not even $180,000 to burn through would've made the place liveable for anybody used to civilization

The only thing that's ever been proven is that State offered money to Cecil, and were ultimately rejected. State fans will never stop acting jilted over it, look at them in this thread still trying to play victim to this day

The fact that Auburn fans believe their shitty cow town is some sort of metropolis compared to Starkville is another great example of how delusional they are.

Auburn is routinely listed as one of the best places to live, not just as a college town, but as a town in general.

Source 1

Source 2

Source frick You

Source 4

Now if we want to talk terrible places to live, Tuscaloosa is a good icebreaker.

Hard to imagine someone turning down almost a 1/4 of a million dollars. Good on Cecil!!
