I hope so.
It’s great seeing Alabama crumble, but it’s not as fun if Georgia beats everyone 70-0.

Portal goes both ways. Michigan Job comes open and everyone will pick their bones.
We all know who is mentioned as the leading contender for that job. and everyone will clean that roster out too.
Honestly? I can see players going to Alabama to play for Saban. I can also see players going to Michigan to play for Harbaugh. I don't see Kelly (If that is who you are referencing) being that kind of draw. Nothing against Kelly, he just doesn't have the same draw for players.

All we hear from bama fans is that we suck and BK is overrated. Why would anyone want shitty coaches and players as you say?

You have good players. One just won the Heisman. But if you lose your coach you'll get cherry picked.

Dude didn’t go to play for Saban, he was married to the bag.
All of them are if one thing goes wrong.

He's leaving because Saban left. The guy that played DB in college and focuses on DB development and was the GOAT head coach. And his position coach left.
I don't think you can get that mad at the dude.

NIL is always a draw. No argument. But so is development. Saban and his coaching staff provided the development and initial contract inn the NFL. Once in the NFL there are no guarantees. Average life span of an NFL player is something like 4 years...maybe less. If you can get drafted in the first and maybe second round you can be fixed for life. Alabama/Saban provided an opportunity to make that initial splash as an early round draft pick, and if you managed to do well enough to last 7-8 years get even bigger contracts.
Besides. The money is still there, so....

So is DeBoer trying to make Bama like Buffalo now?
Apparently. It's amazing the hoops some of these guys jump through. They don't even stop to consider the logic they use...they just regurgitate what they hear each other say.

All I know is if anyone else hired Wommack and/or Linguist, it would be looked at as meh or just a good hire, not some walk off grand slam they're trying to convince themselves of.

I agree but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

The majority of players at Alabama take a lower NIL deal in order to play at Alabama.
There is a positive tradeoff to being coached under Saban and competing against the best in practice every day.
Remove Saban (or Kirby) and the reason for the paycut is no longer valid.
Every single player on the roster now has a new number. Sometimes, Bama will pony up. Sometimes, another school will be able to offer something that money can't buy (like Saban has done the past decade plus).

Lose 1 guy and like typical shithead dawg fans, crawdad U fans, and the little brothers from Lee County come flocking to make a thread like clockwork
.
One player doesn't make or break a team, would have enjoyed it if the kid stayed but I want guys who want to play here above all. Will Bama be the best like we were in the past who knows, however you guys in here celebrating so quick may be thoroughly surprised with what happens this fall

I don't get the angst.
Jermaine Burton for Caleb Downs.
Seems like a fair deal to me.
