This is why it's dumb to compare the two. The three-point line would have made Maravich better percentage wise, but he probably would have shot less.

#1 its not the same sport they play with a smaller basketball, that is like comparing Baseball stats and Softball stats !! WHY WOULD YOU?
Pete also played only 3 years, so if the pass a rule stating players can play 8 years, you can't break a record that was accomplished in 3 years, and to boot, the only measure therefore has to be Points per game.

Nothing against Caitlin Clark, but there will never be another Pete Maravich. He played in an era where defense was still allowed, there was a 45 second shot clock, no three pointer, and still averaged 44 points a game. If you have not watched Clark I highly recommend it, but nobody is pistol.

I’d like to shite on her because women’s basketball is terrible but she’s an incredible basketball player.
