You do realize that he split starts at right guard even when our entire OL was healthy. Right?

I agree that he is a better fit at guard than tackle. It is a sizable difference between the two. But he wasn't great at guard. We lacked interior push on the interior line last season and we never pulled him.

I always give upperclassmen a nod that they can improve. I would even go as far as saying that Mays was great for an underclassman (like saying tallest midget or smartest special ed). But he left a lot of room for improvement in his film. Even at guard.

He was projected to be a first-second round pick, so he was doing something right.

Also think you’re severely underselling our OL which has been top 3 in the conference the last 4 years.

We were very, very good at pass pro last season. Especially at tackle.

But we were not special at run blocking in 2019.

It isnt crazy to think that Matt Luke and the new scheme will run the ball better (and pass block worse) than 2019. That means we could conceivably be better without Mays. We arent underselling the 2019 OL when there is so much more room for improvement.

Can someone explain why this kid should be able to play immediately?

Im glad to see some of these high profile kids to have to learn some lessons the hard way.

He probably just should have said some afro-american called him a cracker and he feels like there is so much racism at Georgia the he just didn't feel comfortable staying.

Why should JT Daniels be able to?

He don't like Luke. You can say that. It's okay. Okay?

He should have told them he identified as a North Korean defector and extreme bowl cut hairstyles trigger him.

It’s very clear, if you aren’t a high profile quarterback then you don’t get immediate eligibility.

I’ve heard this works even if it was just a FB post and you didn’t personally hear it

Daniels sat out almost all of last year. Seems the NCAA doesn’t want to make him sit two straight years.

If he felt like his playing time or experience could be impacted by the lawsuit his family filed for the injury his father sustained on UGA campus, then he could say that UGA has the potential to create a hostile environment. This could justify immediate release to play at another school.

Yes...the lesson being, the NCAA is usually arbitrary in the way they issue rulings.
