Disagree SEC basketball is better than ACC football but I get what you’re saying.

End of the day A&M got a good coach. He did a great job at VT but he wasn’t going to be able to turn them into a consistent tournament team. I think he can for you.

Your sample sized is shite. 2 seasons? Look at the reults:

In Season 1, he finished 2nd in the hardest division in college football. Not even your biased ACC arse could argue that another division is tougher than the SEC West.

Season 2 featured a road loss to the #1 team, another loss to the #1 team, then yet another loss to the #1 team, then a loss to #4 on the road, followed by a loss on the road at #1 the next week.

The recruiting has been solid, so let's let those guys get into school for a couple years before we grade ROI.

He went from no tourney to NIT to 3 straight years of the tourney. I’d say that consistent. He took Marquette dancing every year he was there. I expect to be a regular in March under Buzz even if it’s not starting next year.

So they were picked 12th, got the 7th seed in the SECT and that wins COTY?

Good Lord, were the pickings that slim?

Yes, they were. Print the cups.

Probably should have stayed this better. I think it’s easier to recruit and he has more resources to sustain a program in College Station than Blacksburg. Never been to College Station but Blacksburg, to me is a beautiful place, is a tough sell to some kids.

Congrats Buzz, what he did with this team considering how they started the season is nothing short of amazing.

Agreed. We're not elite in facilities like in football, but we spend some money and will spend more for a winner.

I am a big Buzz fan but I was thinking the same thing. Not exactly impressive for a coach of the year award.

That's like giving a weatherman an award for being right 30% of the time.

I guess that is a sign of how far the program had fallen. Two games above .500 and you get voted COTY.

Kennedy left the program bare. We were 14-18 (6-12) with a better roster last year. We may not have won 10 total games this year with Kennedy.

The program hasn’t fallen; it had never peaked.
Why does it bother some folks when other universities/teams find success (and/or improve)?

How great would life be if we showed young boys/girls/athletes what sportsman is all about?

I don’t.
But I’ve never understood the reasoning behind not being kind to one another, ya know?
