Parity gets thrown around every year and yet every year the cream rises to the top. One or two teams will separate themselves by the end of September.

7-1 is the floor. Auburn is the only possible L in that stretch. Either way still solid

So we beat that arse in Red Stick but won't be able to pull it out in a packed Davis Wade that will be the biggest home game of the season?

Your Friday Night Lights stadium is absolutely terrifying.

Someone has to win, obviously. September? A&M was projected as a playoff team last September. Then state, auburn, ole miss....

It's gonna be a long season, I doubt we know anything in September.

Seems about right. I agree with you on Bama & Auburn... Also think we'll lost at least one of Arky/OM. We beat State, and of course we beat A&M. I think we win out two against the east.

One loss gets us to Atlanta, two probably doesn't.

I have a good feeling about this upcoming season, and feel the best I've felt before the season since 2011.

Also, if A&M is LSU's superbowl, you guys must be the Buffalo Bills.

Pelini was a DC for 1 year at Nebraska in 2003 then was a Co-DC at Oklahoma. He was hardly a known commodity before he got to LSU. But keep thinking that this loaded roster and position coaches will just all of a sudden forget how to play and coach football.

Was Pelini really bad at his job in Oklahoma and Nebraska before LSU hired him? If not, he's really not a fair comparison to Steele.

Steele would be an upgrade pre Chavis for you.

Serious downgrade for you guys though. He is simply not HC or DC material. Good luck with that.

Well, he better figure out the DC thing because he basically has Miles' future in his hands.

Buy all the way, and I've been saying this since they released our schedule. State lost everyone and we get auburn in death valley. Not only that but I think we carry our momentum into the last 4 games and maybe have one loss on the season to either bama or arkansas. Crush Mizzou in the sec Championship, then get a 2nd or 3rd spot in the playoffs.

I think we all agree that Miles going 8 wins or less puts him in the same warm seat as Sumlin if he goes 8 wins or less.

They better both hope that their choices work out.

Good thing that you A&M guys don't define your seasons by the results of the LSU games. That would be miserable.

aTm fans really need to stop saying this. When we see a thread on the TR saying that going 1-11 would be fine as long as the win is over aTm, then you have legs. Until then, you just look dumb.
