D1 poll:
4. Vanderbilt
5. Arkansas
6. Mississippi State
9. Georgia
12. LSU
13. Ole Miss
14. Texas A&M

RPI:
2. Vanderbilt
3. Arkansas
4. Georgia
5. Mississippi State
9. Tennessee
14. Auburn
17. LSU
19. Texas A&M
21. Ole Miss

Right now I’m going with a soft sell. 3 looks to be all but guaranteed, I’d say maybe a 40% chance of having 4. Could also have 7-8 teams hosting regionals overall.

I know we've had 3 a few times. How many times have we had 4 national seeds?

I'm selling. My guess is 3 SEC, 3 west coast, 1 ACC and ECU right now.

We'll get 3 but host 8.

Book it.

I agree with this. Half of the host sites being in the SEC is quite impressive.

I'm going to buy it with the stipulation that someone will get screwed as the match up 8 and 9 somehow.

1. Vanderbilt
2. The winner of the SEC West
3. Georgia as long as they don't fall apart will be 3
4. Second place in the SEC West as long as they have either 19 wins or a top 8 RPI.

Edit: They may even match up two SEC West teams 8 vs 9 which would be horrific but I could see it happening this year.

I'm not. The most host sites the SEC has had was 7 (2016 if I'm not mistaken).

Ole Miss has to work its arse off to lower that RPI. The committee doesn’t give host spots to teams without top 15 RPIs no matter how good the conference record is.

16 host spots but only top 15 RPIs get a host spot

Just last year

I think it was the first? I could be wrong.

ETA: It was the second. First and only other was 2016.

Well, they decided a few years back to have a Northern (Big 10 usually) team hosting, regardless of RPI. So if you figure that in, then go with the RPI, you should be good.

Pretty sure last year was the first time one conference has had 4. National seeds have only been around since 1999 fwiw

Edit: correction 2016 as well

My guess is the SEC gets 3 this year. PAC 10 will also get 3. ACC will get 1 and if ECU maintains they will get the 8th

In 2016 we also had Florida, A&M, MSU, and LSU.
