She 100% trespassed. She’s stumbling around headed toward him so it’s reasonable to assume she was drunk. I have no idea how old she is but most college students drink will underage so it’s about a 75%(freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are all typically under 21)chance she is under 21.

She was definitely trespassing unless you want to make the case that Tennessee lifted it's own security putting the entire Alabama team/staff in danger.

However, the fact it's a $100,000 fine for Tennessee's failure to provide security pretty much argues against that.

Personally I think this is silly. But since people want to call him a woman beater and shite, then frick it. Let's throw down and see who comes out with the most bruises.

Has UT charged a single student with trespass, thats the Universitys call.... She also could have been apart of cheer or dance or one of hundreds of people allowed on the field.

Next you're going to defend the Alabama fan that shot up his neighbors house after the loss.

And you wonder why you're the most hated fan base in the country.

The only way I'd go full support for Burton is the View came out against him, but since he's black and she's white that would never happen.

I don't know.

Tennessee itself was however punished for failing to provide proper security and keeping the fans off the field.

$100,000

And if people really want to go down this rabbit hole, it would be very easy to make the case that not only did Tennessee fail to provide the proper security for the event, they even promoted their fans to break the rules and rush the field, putting the opposing players in danger.

shite is silly though. He pushed a girl.

People who call it a hit probably fight like this:

The flip side of this is you and other AL sidewalk fans are going to be screaming about every little touch a DB makes on any of your receivers for the remaining games of the year.

No, it's criminal trespassing the same as rushing the field at any event.

If you go rush the field next week in the middle of the game, that's what you will be charged with.

The university is still liable for anyone that was granted access to the event. Once they were inside the facility it was the university that are required to provide a safe environment and if anything happens they can and should be held accoutanble as well.

If you step on a field - male or female you deserve whatever you get. She’s an idiot for shoving her phone in his face - and lucky she didn’t get knocked out cold

OP is kind of stupid and also said Tennessee had a 0% chance to win the game so you have to take everything he says with a grain of salt.

She ran towards him and into him. He shouldn’t have hit her but he didn’t attack her. She made first contact. It appeared to be unintentional but he’ll say she said something to indicate it was intentional.

I could not tell by the video, but what I have read in news reports was that she was walking around him and not at or into him. Nevertheless, I would hope he gets hit harder on the field by the other team than he did by a girl with no pads on.

I’ve mentioned this multiple times now but I’ll say it again. She could’ve had a weapon. It’s one of the reasons the SEC has such a big fine for rushing the field. I don’t think he was afraid she had a weapon but he’ll likely say he was and that’s enough to be thrown out in court.

If he thought she had a weapon and was in fear of her, he would not have reached out to hit her. He would have tried to get away from her. He did not.

If you are defending the smoke bomb guy against Wagner you have a very limited understanding of how things work in sports and what fans are aloud to do and not do.
I have no problem with players tackling someone that goes onto a field DURING a game. The girl should not have gone on the field but it was AFTER the game. This seems lost on you.

quote:

Can a player knock someone down that runs into their space on a field after a game? Absolutely.
Except shew as walking around him not into him. I mean...it was crowded. I get it. But i have to tell you I played a lot of football and came into contact with literally hundreds of fans on the field after a game and managed to not hit a single one of them and never felt threatened.

Look. I get it. He was mad because they got beat. That is what this is all about. he got mad and lashed out at her.

Alabama fans are absolutely batshit insane

If one regular season lost has your shitbag rednecks defending football players smacking women, how the hell will you act when Saban leaves and you start losing 2-3 games a year?
