They pumped him full of protein shakes the last week. I say he plays at 5'9 1/4 and 180 LBS

The protein shakes cause him to grow an inch? Also there is no way they let him wear shoes for the measurements.

He's itty bitty

quote:

Saturday, Young officially measured at 5-foot-10 1/8 and weighed 204 pounds, which would make him the lightest Round 1 quarterback since at least 2006 and one of the shortest passers drafted since the AFL-NFL merger in 1967.

He is only doing interviews and refuses to do any workouts at the combine because he's carrying 10 lbs of water weight around that he isn't used to. Not sure who he thinks he is fooling here.

For reference to other College Qbs this draft

6-4, 244 pounds - Anthony Richardson
6-4, 229 pounds - Will Levis
6-3, 217 pounds - Hendon Hooker
6-3, 214 pounds - C.J. Stroud
5-11, 192 pounds - Stetson Bennett
5-10, 204 pounds - Bryce Young

I stood next to Bryce and he is MAYBE 5-10 and I'd be surprised if he was 180. Probably more like 165. His being 5-10 was the reason he had to always step up-roll out on passing plays. I've said before and will say again, he isn't gonna be in the NFL for long. It'll be good to see 6-3 Ty Simpson back there throwing balls from the pocket.

No, but you can slightly arch your feet to get a 1/2 inch or so. Like I said 5'9 1/2 maybe 180
