I think it was something relating to a recruiting barbeque.

Not legit, but the discussions are definitely real. Who knows how serious Pearl is, but Auburn is serious and Pearl has publicly expressed interest.

Auburn was in the top 4 in money spent, IIRC, on recruiting for bball in the SEC. Barbee had some good classes. He just couldn't keep them at Auburn.
