He's obviously the best player in the country and means alot to his team. What would he have to do this season to win the Heisman?

Not be a TE.

Average at least 100 yards receiving a game, 10 plus tds. And have a few more moments like Saturday where he takes over games at crucial moments. I'd say one of those would almost have to be the SECCG with a Georgia win.

Might be a different outcome yesterday without Bowers. He is going to be a very wealthy man very soon.

They’ll give Williams back to back before they give it to a tight end.

I agree with yall, but I think it will get alot harder to do those things as other teams will try and lock him down with double teams.

They already do. He has been smothered all season. He just breaks open. Freeze stated several times in interviews this past week that they had to stop Bowers from being the X factor. He is 230+ and just to fast and glides into his route breaks. His hands are like velcro and he is hard to tackle after the catch. Maybe triple team him would work.

He'd have to have a season like Smitty did in 2020.I mean think about how long it had been since a receiver won it.

Just stop. He's great, but he's not better than QBs

How bout you 'just stop' interjecting the unwanted opinion of a Smack-12 fan on an SEC forum where no one wants to hear what you have to say on the subject.

I think the poster is upset that Brock left California to win natties as a Dawg.

I found out yesterday that Bowers gets 80 percent of his receiving yards after the catch. He's possibly the hardest collegiate player to tackle I have ever seen. He can house reverses out of the backfield. He's a willing and capable blocker. He can gain a first down as a fullback, has insane durability. No known off-the-field issues, and is obviously nearly impossible to cover. No player in the country is so far ahead of everyone else at their position.

Someone needed to speak up to get rid of the pests around here. On behalf of all the other SEC posters on this board...goodbye.

No reason to lie about his abilities. He's the best TE in college football. He's not a good blocker.

He had 2 catches for 9 yards through 3 qtrs of play vs Auburn.
He went off in the 4th qtr, but if he were impossible to cover, why didn't he have more than 2 catches in the first 45 minutes of play? Was he just blocking during that time?

This more of a testament to how shitty your qb was playing than it is how great Bowers is though, isn't it?

Why in the world would a TE need to take hand offs if he had a capable qb?
