LSU D is more NFl ready

DB's are more needed in the NFL due to it being a passing league

Bama DBs are meh this year

I know more than Urlacher

Um No period end of story. As has been discussed the worst NFL team in history would take the best college team in history to the woodshed so fast it isn't funny.

Last year's defense gave up only 29 to the same guy with a better offensive line.

Our D is shite, especially the secondary, and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot or a homer, or both.

I think the overall D is ok...run D will be fine because that is what our D is designed to stop.

Pass D is a totally different story. we are playing shite bump and run technique...and just outright getting beat in one on one matchups at the corners

well how is it that johnny manziel looked like the johnny manziel at the end of the year in the 1st half against UF last year.....but in the 2nd half we shut him down.....basically if he wasn't ready to play shouldn't that have been reversed (bad 1st half...good 2nd half)

Florida had no tape on Sumlin's offense with Texas A&M's players. Florida had no clue what Johnny Manziel could do. He hadn't made a name for himself yet. Yes, Florida made great second half adjustments; however, would those have been necessary if you had known what to expect before the game began? I don't think so.

We also faced him before there was any tape on him and anybody had really heard of the kid. He came out and did his thing for a half, we made the adjustments and shut him down the rest of the game.

Do you really think the Texas A&M's offense had mastered the whole playbook in the first game of the season? You think Manziel's passing skills haven't improved since that game? Do you think Manziel and the Texas A&M offense are the same as they were a year ago when they played their first game under Sumlin's system?

so far this bama D has been disappointing, granted they have only played two games...I expect to see much improvement over the next 2 to 3 weeks

Alabama won't be facing Manziel and Mike Evans, so some improvements could be superficial.

Uhhhmmmm.... No. No way an SEC caliber defense gives up almost 50 points to anybody.

How many points did AU give up to JFF last year? Sixty something? Worst beatdown in Jordan Hare or something like that?

I think our DB technique could use a lot of improvement...we were getting beat on our jams at the line and they were getting free releases in one on one coverages...that usually doesn't happen in our secondary

Taylor Bertolet left points off the board and Texas A&M had a drop in the end zone.

Your defense is good but it is not an NFL defense. That is just ludicrous.

Alabama's defense is going to be very good as usual though. They will be better than what they showed against A&M.

yep, nobdy else has a qb that will casue the dilema the JFF does. we had to pick our poison, and we decided to make him beat us with his arm, and he nearly did. im really amused at all the other fans who think they are going to do any better than what bama did

Please help me understand this logic?
Fla. had the advantage because they had no idea who JFF was or had never seen this offense.

As compared to Bama, who had 9 game tapes to study last season. Including the examples that LSU and UF provided Bama.
Examples of how to pretty much shut JFF and A&M's offense down.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Auburn gave up what 50 against Arky in 2010 and shut Oregon down.

I didn't say Florida had an advantage. Florida's defense was at a disadvantage until the half then the disadvantage switched to a Texas A&M offense that hadn't fully implemented and mastered the playbook. The main point is that Texas A&M's offense at the end of last year and perhaps now is better than it was at the start of last season. Against Florida, the players had no experience in Sumlin's system and Manziel had no college development. His passing skills improved.

Urlacher has had one too many concussions. Nobody in college has an NFL defense. They are paid big bucks in the NFL for a reason...wait, now it all makes sense.
