Urlacher probably only casually pays attention to college ball, and I'm sure his comment is a generalization of the last few years, not this specific unit. UF has the best defense in the SEC and it's not close.

yeah I agree that UF's defense is the best so far and will carry that team this year, because that O is average at best.

Did not know NFL defenses give up 600 yards of offense??

Bama will lose 1-2 games this year, that D looked real bad against the Aggies.

Right now, I am saying LSU is better.

Yes, Alabama has an NFL defense, and JFF/Evans are better than any QB/WR combo in the NFL.

in 2011 they were. This year there are maybe 2 or 3 guys who will start on sundays

And how many start? These comparisons are so fricking stupid.

At the 10:25 mark Urlacher is commenting on JFF and says Bama has a NFL D with all the guys getting drafted on that side of the ball.

Contrary to most people here on the rant, I will take urlacher's opinion on the Alabama D over anybodys. Probably the best D in the SEC when all is said and done.

Does anyone disagree that this is the most talented defense in the SEC this year? Why?

i disagree.....cause UF's is better...probably by a lot cause our biggest defensive weakness (LB) isn't even really a weakness we just have less experience there.....but our defensive line is TERRIFIC, our secondary might be the best in the country, add it all up and if our offense don't cost us games we'll win a lot.

no NFL defense would give up 42 to a college offense even on it's worst day.

just imagine if they were on the same team.....that team would break all kinds of historical records (longest winning streak, number of championships in a row etc.)

we wouldn't have to......now obviously of course we'd have to score something in order to win, but it wouldn't be a shoot-out......in fact i think UF held uga and A&M to their lowest point totals last year (17 for both) so our defense would keep us in any game but can our offense help out the defense is the question.

I will take urlacher's opinion on the Alabama D

I wouldn't

Is he a college coach? Does he break down tape for Bama? Is he a scout?

So no. But do as you please, reality isn't a strong suit in gumpland

Only when all 11 starters are drafted in the top 4 rounds the same year would any college team have what's considered an "NFL" defense.

You faced Johnny Manziel in his first college start. If you'd held their offense to 17 at the end of the year, then that would be noteworthy.
What's truly remarkable is the fact that Florida forced 3 interceptions and held Georgia to 17 points despite their offense turning over the ball 6 times!

well considering he is an 8 time pro bowler on D and you are some random poster on a sports board, his opinion has a little more weight than yours does.

but if you think your opinion has more weight than his does then do as you please
