Just thought about it and find myself wondering why. The height of his career is an embarrassing citrus bowl choke job by LSU (2nd appearance in a row) and 2 NC/playoff blowouts. He’s like the Mark Gottfried of college football.

Never liked ND, so let’s just enjoy it.

Then there's the whole thing where he's responsible for a kids death...

An undefeated regular season and making the CFP easily trumps a 10-3 season with a citrus bowl trophy.

But I understand asking a bama fan to go 24 hours without thinking about LSU is asking too much so I'll give you a pass.

He is a very good coach who is likely getting everything out of the Notre Dame infrastructure.

Did not believe it until we played them.

Brian Kelly’s last national championship game ended in a 28 point defeat.

Let’s see if we can think of any other coaches that lost by 28 points in their last national championship game...

Hmmmmm....

This isn’t the old days. There are 15 college programs easier to win at than Notre Dame

It would be really embarrassing to lose by 28 in the Natty.

Gerry Faust, Bob Davie, Tyrone Whillingham, Charlie Weiss. Notre Dame has made some bad hires in the last 40 years.

Notre Dame used to have a lot of advantages over the rest of CFB. Those advantages have faded over time. Now they have more disadvantages than a lot of other schools.

They are a consistent 10-15 program, and have a shot at a NC every few years.

He gets a lot out of his players. They are a sound team. They aren’t super talented but they don’t make many mistakes
