Not at Auburn. Y’all should really post about him more, though.

You’re right, it was Ole Miss, which makes your comments even more embarrassing. Freeze accomplished 2x more at Ole Miss than Kelly has at LSU…ouch

Freeze never made it to Atlanta at Ole Miss. Kelly has at LSU.

I may know someone who is perfect for that job.

He doesn’t seem to be a fit if you are looking for a cultural match, but maybe that is what LSU needs…a little class introduced

How LSU could ever let Saban get away?
Saban openly talked about his dream to coach in the NFL before coming to LSU. It was no secret that he was going to leave after a few years and he was rumored to be connected to different teams after a couple of seasons at LSU. Miami offered him the dream with icing on top - HC and GM. He would get to pick his own players.
quote:That has nothing to do with Saban's dream to coach in the NFL and everything to do with returning to CFB at a close rival
They realy blew it and it shows in every word i hear them say about Bama

only a politician would nitpick the difference between working in politics, and being a politician. You and Brian are swamp brothers.

That depends on whether you count his vacated wins. He won 113 games. Because of vacated wins, he officially has 92. Knute Rockne won 105 games. Lou Holtz won 100 games. Parseghian won 95. The official NCAA records have him as 4th all time among Notre Dame coaches in total wins. Most here will likely say he is the winningest. But that was a function of how long he was there.
By winning percentage he was in the back half of the pack of Notre Dame coaches. Kelly had a 70.2% winning percentage, which is a fair bit below Notre Dame’s all time winning percentage of 73.2%.
Notre Dame has had some good coaches. The following were all vastly more successful than Kelly. The following all had a higher winning percentage and won at least one national championship: Knute Rockne (89.7%), Frank Leahy (88.8%), Ara Parseghian (84.5%), Dan Devine (76.8%), and Lou Holtz (76.9%).
These guys have a higher winning percentage but, like Kelly, did not win a national championship; Jesse Harper (87.9%), Elmer Laydon (78.3%) and Marcus Freeman (76.7%).
No logical person would say Kelliy is the winningest coach in Notre Dame history. It could easily be argued he is the 9th best Notre Dame coach of all time.

May I present to you Ed Orgeron, Gene Chizik, and Mike Dubose. All coaches who made the SEC championship game.
Sometimes teams are just too talented for even the head coach to screw up.

He walked into the most stable program in college football loaded with blue chip players and still lost 4 games. That would be concerning if I was a bama fan.
Y'all blame Milore, but a lot of your ilk was stating he was going to turn him into Penix.

Maybe some of those blue chips weren't a good fit for the new systems he's running on offense and defense? Maybe the players needed a year to feel comfortable in those new systems? DeBoer's teams have historically made a big jump in their second seasons, so let's see how things play out this year.
What would be concerning to me is if my team got worse every year under a new coach. You know, kind of like how LSU has gotten worse every year under BK
