Unlike Nick Saban, Kelly is very short sighted in terms of the overall trajectory of CFB and the health of his program. By going for the win, he was not looking ahead or thinking of what he was actually doing to the rest of the conference. By going for two and winning, he essentially guaranteed the firing of both Alabama’s worst coordinators under Saban and an institutional detox.

Y’all think you had it bad while Alabama was switching coordinators left and right…..just wait till Alabama has their next Kirby Smart at both OC and DC. Teams like LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss etc. will be stone walled out of the SECCG for years.

All because Brian Kelly went for 2.

i am picturing you are 5ft tall trying to get something off the top of the fridge.

Bama always has high turnover with assistants.

Recruits and current players love that BK had the balls to go for 2. That helps LSU.

Coaching staff A should purposefully lose so coaching staff B on the other team, that just beat coaching staff A, can be retained.

Sounds like bullet proof logic.

Arkansas has not beaten Alabama since Saban has been there. You have not been to Atlanta since Saban has been there. Ole Miss has never been there. Do you think it really fricking matters?

There is no doubt Saban is the best coach in the history of college football. One of things that has made him great is to be able to get awesome coordinators who were not only good in their own right, but willing to buy into what he wanted on the field. At this point, he has either failed to realize that he isnt getting that from them, or feels they are doing enough to win championships. And the facts are, they were in the CFP last year and are two last second plays from being there this year.

I will be shocked if BoB isnt gone after this year. Saban seems to have a thing for Golding which I can not understand as its the defense that has taken the biggest beating in the last few years.

Saban was on the ground bleeding and Kelly finished him off. Deal with it.

Saban going for 2 (twice) turned out to be a much bigger mistake.

This is truly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen posted. What's abundantly clear is that you have never coached and have never been responsible for tactical decision making of any sort.

No way Brian Kelly is worried about any of that.

Who knew that you don't look ahead when you're in an OT game. Weird how that works.
