No one is saying that. I think what people are pointing out - and even what a few Boise State fans were pointing out - is that he didn't do as good at Boise as his predecessors did. When Chris Petersen was there, they were the most powerful G5 team in college football. You heard their name in the discussion for potential "fly in the ointment" every single season. You hardly heard a peep from them over the last six or seven seasons.

Boise's worst season of the 2010's was with Chris Peterson the season before Harsin took over. They were 8-5 then jumped to 12-2 Harsin's first year

Only numbers I’m looking at:

Arkansas State

2012 - Gus Malzahn - 10-3

2013 - Bryan Harsin - 7-5

So, he already has experience taking over a Malzahn team and we already know what he can do. Lol

It's almost like he might have had his eyes set on another job.

The mental gymnastics some posters are doing I. This thread to shite on Hardin’s record is entertaining af. “He should be pounding the mountain west!” He is....losses to P5 schools make up a number of his losses. “He should out recruit everyone, best facilities, talent blah blah!” Yeah, Boise is much more of a draw that Colorado, California and Hawaii.

This kinda shite used to rustle me a little, this shite now is pathetic, entertaining but still pathetic.

Enh. I would not go that far. BYU and Utah left right before Boise joined. TCU left the year after that. The teams that replaced them were from... the WAC.

Averages 3 losses per season.

He beats up the easy conference guys (great conference win totals) but struggled in OOC games.

Was meh in bowl games at 3-2.

What does that tell us?

Does it concern you that a guy who had substantially more talent than all of his competition was losing 3 games per year on average?

I haven't studied it, but I suspect some of his losses were OOC. In a small conference, your OOC games are often built in losses as opposed to built in wins. Saban's teams rarely win them all and does anyone argue he has far superior talent than every team on his schedule?

They went 12-1 in their first season in the MWC and absolutely crushed Arizona State in their bowl game by the score of 56-24. When Chris Petersen was at Boise State they owned the WAC and MWC while also beating OOC opponents like Georgia, Arizona State, and Washington. Harsin's OOC record is atrocious.

You don't even know how to spell his name, or couldn't be bothered to fix it. Tells me all I need to know about how good he is.

I’m not getting the hate, that’s respectable.

But then as I type that I realize Malzahn was fired for putting up “respectable” numbers

Bowl record: 3-2

Has a mixed bag here. Fiesta Bowl win in his first season over a 10-2 Arizona squad. Was blown out last year by a 7-5 Washington team in the Las Vegas bowl.

You can put lipstick on this pig all you want. But you don't fire a mediocre former Arkansas State head coach and give him $21M to walk away, just to hire another mediocre former Arkansas State head coach.

Y’all just paid a man 5 million for 3 wins and last place.

Sounds like you should be calling out your AD and not on a message board pretending you have a clue youngster.

Since 1999 They have had 4 different head coaches and they have all had the same type of success. Usually win around 11 games while loosing 2. It’s the level of competition that inflates their record.

and why would you bring this embarrassing fact up? Who were their losses to? Obviously Leach didn't have HIS type of players when he arrived as a first year coach, so this is not embarrassing to logical MSU fans but for LoSerU you didn't just get beat
