He is making $3.6M at Minnesota, which is 11th out of the 14 coaches in that conf..
Fleck isn't a mercenary. He stayed at WMU for another year after bigger jobs came calling. The Minnesota job opened late like State, and he took it saying it was one of a handful of programs he was waiting for.
His family situation would also likely prevent him from moving anywhere outside of the Midwest in the near future.

Note...they have never (in the history of the program) played a hockey game in the middle of Mississippi State's football stadium.

Northwestern has the nicest indoor practice building in the country, and has apparently won their division more times than Minnesota in the last 20 years.
You wouldn't know much about the SEC.

Keep Tony Hughes as head coach. If they don't want to keep him then I would take a look at Fred McNair down at Alcorn & Sam Washington at North Carolina A&T.
