Is Willie Gay one of them? I’m seeing some chatter on the interwebz.
That would be a big loss.

Okay now I have to find out if they can be redshirted because if so thats a huge W

So if they can play in four games and keep their redshirt, no big deal LONG term. Short term depth-wise it is definitely not ideal. Any rumors on who the starter is?

I think you gotta play them for Tennessee. It's the most likely loss out of the 4 and it's on the road.

Lol. I bet they wont get that lucky. You cant break the rules, get punished, and bend the rules at the same time.
Is this self reported or will NCAA be up your arse now?

Self reported but a 3 year probation period.

And this is post Mullen? Just clarifying.

I believe so. Very weird situation. It's clear that this was an academic issue with players conspiring together with an individual tutor. I've never understand why they punish the team for things like this. I get their position, but it really doesn't make much sense when you look at it from a 10,000 ft. view. But what can you expect from the NCAA these days.

I would think the others would have to be high on the depth chart. Who is helping cheat for 3rd and 4th stringers?

Auburn doesn't get to talk trash to anyone about being a dirty program. Y'all are right down there with Miami and Louisville.

No, most were freshmen. Some people are just dumb, regardless of football talent.

They do not stay eligible for a redshirt this year according to the article.
quote:
Student-athletes found to have violated rules must serve the full penalty. They cannot be redshirted or sit out a season for injury to avoid losing the specified eligibility.

Sucks to hear this. Hopefully it won't have an effect on the outcome of their 2019 season.
