I don't recall any bloviating from any UG, UF or UT fans about winning the East. Heck, SC fans didn't even brag about winning the East much all things considered. Division titles are just meh to Big 6 teams. Winning the SEC is all that really matters.
I'm not sure why some Mizzou fans struggle with that notion.
Because we've only seen one other team win the east since we've been here. Our bad.

I thought football started in 2000

Had we put Eli in at halftime, we would have beaten West Virginia. Miller just did not play well that game.
We lost by 11.

Manning relieved Romaro Miller with the Rebels trailing 49-9. He completed 12 of 20 passes for 167 yards, three TDs and one interception and led the Rebels to 29 unanswered points.
We lost by 11.

Why did you pick 1986? Just because?
FYI, the OP picked a year which started with a Tiger loss in the Sugar Bowl so I think you mistook his point as he pointed out.

hey you listed UK's 8 bowls so why not Vandy's 7...
our record is 4-2-1
win & tie % = 0.714
Proud to say I've been to all but one. Had a good excuse for the one I missed - I hadn't been born yet.

So Mizzou has only been to 11 bowls EVER?
eta: Since 1986...but still
30 overall. But we had a long period of complete suckage/ no administrative support/ losing/ suck suckage between 1983 and 1997. Not bowls in that stretch, or even winning seasons.

Pat 'Tye' Dye for that 1 Auburn loss which still irks Syracuse folk to this day
Arkansas football and LSU basketball are brothers from another mother:
soft in postseason play, .500 type seasons are the norm, ocassional freak-ish athlete(McFadden, O'Neal), 1 or 2 Top 10 finishes a decade, brushes with elite status met with stern reproval, both patted on the head and told 'that's good'

I actually did it to point out Arkansas' abysmal bowl performance. Pick any time period and their bowl performance is horrible.
To be fair, shouldn't you do it from 1992?

Kentucky has won the Sugar Bowl. How many SEC teams can't claim that?

Maybe not....but we do win when we are in it. The game against TCU will be tough....but we have the talent to win. I think we are favored so far.
