I don't think you really believe this, but if you do, seek help.

Good vid explaining the historical origins of the Border War rivalry.

Probably the only college sports rivalry that is rooted in looting, burning and death.

Mizzou basketball coach Norm Stewart would not allow his team to stay in Lawrence KS when the Mizzou basketball team played at Allen Field House, opting instead to stay in MO.

So the overwhelming posting on social medias, forums, and real life behavior from Mizzou fans has been about wanting to be accepted into the SEC because they’re a cultural fit?

Do YOU actually believe that’s been the energy of the Mizzou fan base the past 15 years?

What a gaslighting inversion.

Mizzou’s collective ethos has been to degrade southern culture, pick on the stereotypes, and you personify that with your name and own admission.

Then you want to be super ultra serious about the root differences between you and KU by acting like you all have been whistling Dixie since childhood.

It’s one thing to play against things to have some fun in the sports world, it’s another to have an impossibly absurd duality like this carry on without being exposed as a bunch of complete clowns.

Cool rivalry imo.
Mizzou might be seriously good if pribula keeps it up.

The mere existence of the Hodges Harbrace Handbook would suggest otherwise.

one game that exemplifies that experience.

A football game in the 21st century does not “exemplify” a WAR in the 19th century. Does not even approximate it.

Wars ain’t games, son.

Also, Missouri was a border state. Not a Confederate state.

kS fun facts:

Less than 3 million call the state home. Only losers live there.

Their largest city is in Missouri.

They infest Missouri's lakes and stream like cockroaches every year. Again, no one wants to be in kS.

It's flat. Except for the part that used to be in Missouri - The Fort Scott region.

Historically a jayhawk is a raping, murdering, thief.

I spit in their general direction every chance I get.

M I Z! frick kU!

But if liberty plays an SEC team in any sport, guess who’s the first to remind you about it?

So this makes it even. Also, blame the conference for only having 2 big games (including this one) this weekend.
