Funny how it the local kU fan and Mizzou fans and a bunch of LSU fans who do not care, but somehow care enough to post in the thread they do not care about. Damn LSU we do not need you as a rival, maybe try Arky they are ready to be your bottom.

If a person knows where Kansas is other than "out west somewhere" they ain't southern. If a person has any animosity toward Kansas they sure as hell ain't southern. That person's ancestors may have thought it a good idea to own another human being but folks in China breath just like folks in the South do...it doesn't make a southerner Chinese....

That Josey Wales was a heckuva a shot with that gatling gun. He managed to gun down those yankees and didn't hit a single horse even though they were jumping around all over the place.

Not geographically ignorant, geographically indifferent. No one cares where on the planet Kansas is other than people from Kansas and those who are obsessed with Kansas. Kansas is unimportant to anyone with a life other than, again, people from Kansas.

Imagine having the name Yankee Handle while posting a gif of Confederate mowing down yankees.
You could not have made my point in this thread any better.
To SEC foe they’re uppity and make fun of southern characteristics.
But when it’s time to play Kansas, they’re a rugged bunch of Confederates.
This is a preposterous and impossible duality.
What a fantastic level of exposure this Kansas rivalry is shedding on Mizzou fans.

When I started posting here I simply embraced the name that everyone on the SEC Rant gave Missourians. Yankees. I was trying to bring some levity to the absurdity of it. It was also a play on Yankee Candle which my wife loves to buy and I replaced Candle with Handle. Like a CB Handle. That is really as deep as it gets. It also rustles Jimmies so that is a plus.

Imagine having the biggest, bestest rivalry with a school you hate more than anyone else in college sports hates a rival.
And you turn your back on the core principle, the root and foundation of that hatred by spending 15 years in the SEC promoting yourselves as Yankees?
And regardless, personal story is totally irrelevant to the ethos Mizzou adopted as a fanbase upon entering the SEC, which was anti-southern.
