The best part about Lake Murray is it feeds the Saluda and its rapids. Some damn fine whitewater for kayaking year round, and when they really get the flow going...Mill Race can hit Class V+. All in downtown Columbia.

A few years ago it was listed at 4.3 million and when I saw what he paid for it I was shocked. I think he paid around 50% of list price.

And at the other end, where the Big Saluda feeds the lake at Black's Bridge, there is some of the best black bass fishing in the country from there over to Big Man Shealy's and down to Macedonia Church.

This lake has over 400 mile of shoreline. Boom's place is just one of many thousands of lots on this lake.

That lake looks nicer than Clemson’s lake.

Tillman will no doubt be here momentarily to debunk that statement.

Really no argument for most people who have been out on both lakes; Lake Murray is much prettier than Hartwell.

He's very approachable, a very nice guy. Loves living here, as does his family.

I admit, when y'all hired him I thought Boom was going to be a complete disaster at USC. He really seems to have embraced the community and it looks like he has USC heading in the right direction.

I know that if I was looking for a place to live when I retired I could probably force myself to live in that house.

Yeah, but you know how Tillman is. He'll pull out the "spring fed lake" card with "a view of the mountains." And mention the water skiing championship, as well.

and he'll talk about how some middle of the road state school in South Carolina is a prestigious university that has Goldman Sachs banging down the door the hire grads.

I like Lake Murray...my grandmother and parents live on it. But I do prefer Lake Hartwell. Also have lakes keowee and jocassee nearby as well.

you won't see the mountains and Clemson football stadium from Lake Murray. lol
