I do wonder if Charles will finish his 2 credit hours of online walking he signed up for when he re-enrolled or just takes the W.

All of that just to beat Auburn. #Sickening
You’re a true dumb Aggot if you think Alabama tried to add an NBA player to their roster to win a regular season basketball game. They were grasping at straws to make a real run at it because they don’t have good center depth.

Don't have an issue with it. What I do have an issue with, is all these other Euro League guys in College are eligible. If they played pro ball anywhere, they shouldnt be eligible to play College ball. Get all these pros out of college.

Back to no big man depth for the cheaters.

Nah. There is a reason euros have been reviewed on a case by case basis for YEARS prior to the recent madness. Euros will continued to be allowed to play as long as they’re paid basic living expenses and can prove it with receipts. Deal with it.

The TRO prevented the NCAA from punishing Alabama or threatening action only while it was in effect. It was not in perpetuity.
You could argue that other teams were “punished” by having to lose games against an ineligible player.
The NCAA always said he was ineligible. Even with the TRO, Nate could have elected not to play him.
Just a stupid move to become so nationally hated and risk mentally just to beat Auburn and A&M

Don’t disagree with that. If you’ve been paid to play a sport professionally, you should be permanently ineligible to play that sport at the college level. They really need to close the Euro league loophole. No it’s not the NBA but those are still professional athletes

As a bama fan, I am glad this played out this way. Sick of the garbage that is college athletics today

Stunned a Tuscaloosa judge would rule against Alabama unless it's what the school wanted.

College kids are paid 10x more than the euro “pros” coming over.

Our law school makes good JDs not good ol boys that give long lived TROs to let grown arse men play a whole season before hearing the case. lol.

This judge had degrees from Auburn, Missouri, and Bama.

If you’re trying to portray him as a Bama fan, you can stop while you’re ahead.

Complete lack of institutional control.
They didn't seek legal remedy, they took matters into their own hands by playing him first and then asking. It was Nate's ploy because he couldn't see another way of winning... so why not risk it... it would be nearly the same as out right losing. And it'll work if they just get a slap on the wrist.
If this all the penalty there is.... there will in essence be no penalty at all.

Newsflash, he isn’t going to be using that scholarship.
Maybe not.. I have no way of knowing. But the scholarship is there if he wants to use it. He took an open spot on the roster

Good. Let's keep this kind of stuff out of collegiate athletics.
No former pro players allowed. Only current pro players being paid millions are accepted.
Why this line in the sand? Like Hillary said, at this point what difference does it make?
