Speaking of Petrino, I wonder what his wide-mouthed girlfriend is up to.

I think people are woefully underestimating that UofL is starting a brand new QB under center who isn’t Lamar Jackson. Against arguably one, if not the, best DL in the country. And lost a good chunk of their defense.

This may be one of those “will they pass the 50?” type deals and the Harris for Heisman talk is gonna get real loud early.

Have Auburn fans given up on this season already since you know you're starting off with a loss?

Let us take a closer look at Petrino's college openers

At Louisville in his first stint

2003 Kentucky Win
2004 Kentucky Win
2005 Kentucky Win
2006 Kentucky Win

At Arkansas
2008 UL Monroe Win
2009 Missouri State Win
2010 Tennessee Tech Win
2011 Missouri State Win

At Louisville in his 2nd stint
2014 Miami (FL) Win
2015 Auburn Loss
2016 Charlotte Win
2017 Purdue Win

None of those wins are all that impressive. I will be hoping and praying we somehow beat Alabama though. Of course I thought Florida was going to drill us in the Sugar Bowl and it went the other way. We are bringing in a new QB to go along with what I expect to be a pretty bad defense. This was the worst possible year for us to schedule this game. Bright side is we have nothing to lose

Ehhhh I'm not so sure. Louisville has really talented receivers and a brilliant play caller for a head coach. Alabama is very aggressive against the run and puts pressure on their secondary to run multiple coverages against the passing game. There is a history of Alabama giving up the deep ball to good receivers.

I think it's guaranteed they pass the 50 once.

A real murders row (except for Auburn).

No wonder his opening games record looks so good.

No magic here. Bama is going to prison bang them by 24 points.

My guess is he is about to be 13-2. He ain't got the horses to run with Alabama and he is unlikely to out coach Saban. I think Bama wins going away.

I do like the Petrino offense against a Bama D
Too inexperienced to really have any chance, Bama will wear them down especially in the heat of Orlando.

Prolly something like 24-10 at half time and bama wins it 45-17.

Nah, Bobby is a good enough playcaller that he will find something that works eventually but it won't last for long.
