Blake Toppmeyer on Finebaum offered this about Kiffin

I can only imagine the stories Lane Kiffin is telling himself, that only he beliefs. Kiffin looks incredibly foolish right now. He left Ole Miss because he thought he had a better chance to win the national title at Lsu and here’s Ole Miss in the national playoff semifinals, with a real shot at reaching the national championship game. For someone that prides themselves as being the smartest person in the room, he’s made himself look incredibly unwise by walking away from a playoff, team was good enough to beat Georgia in the rematch, while he tried to build a national championship contender at Lsu.
Only LSU fans will fail to see the savagery.

Lane must have banged his wife. This guy comes off as having an axe to grind

Let it go man, he basically said he loved Ole Miss but he wasn't in love with Ole Miss.
That hurts-I get it!

Link where you got this from. I failed out of LSU and I know this is all wrong.

I think that this board needs more Lane Kiffin psychoanalysis and getting to the root of how Kiffin really feels!

Lane took another job and months later the fans are still crying about it. All he did was take another job.

If Ole Miss could somehow pull this off and capture a Natty, then it probably wouldn’t be considered good enough ultimately for Lane to only win one at LSU (if he can in fact, do so…..nothing is 100% guaranteed after all).

Wasn’t the same said about notre dame and Kelly. What trophies does notre dame have since then?
I wouldn’t bet on ole miss

Lane has the long game in mind.
How? He's never lasted long enough anywhere to be considered long term.

The pettiness is going to be off the charts as long as Kiffin is at LSU.

none of it will matter when Tampa fires Todd Bowles and Lane leaves Baton Rouge before the NFL draft -

Ole Miss fans are pissed because they got left at the altar.
People who hate LSU are using it as an opportunity to troll, despite most of them insisting for months that LSU wouldn't be able to make a good hire.
Then there's a sub group of people that just dislike Lane and are seeking confirmation bias to validate those feelings.
These groups and the Ole Miss fans are feeding off of each other. The Ole Miss fans believe they're receiving validation but the other group is really just trying to troll.
Then the media is in the middle, overreacting as usual, just trying to generate clicks.

He was in Oxford for 6 years, that's long term for a coach.
He was one of the most tenured coaches in the conference, before he left.
