He was literally our 3rd choice. And at the time his name was attached to other open SEC jobs so…

I wanted Chip Kelly

Funny to see a GA fan of all people make such a retarded startement. When was your last championship? I'll wait.

Dude. C'mon. He has been at UCLA for four years and has had one winning season, and that was going 8-4 this year. His signature win is against a 6-6 LSU team. And this during a four year stretch when his only in-state competition was hot garbage.

He is not. Hasn’t taken a swing at a big program but he has potential. There is always some risk with any hire.

Too bad you fired Orgergon and replaced him with a guy who is 0-2 vs Kirby/UGA.. and spent $100 million to do it

Chip with LSU or UF talent would wreck shop.

He won’t get that at UCLA

Billy Napier will win more games at Florida than Kelly will win at LSU in the next four years.

Real winners don't worry about what you've done before, rather they're focused on what you'll do next.

LSU= dead program stuck in the past like Tennesee and Florida

UGA= the FUTURE of teh SEC and College football

Kelly made the playoff with hand picked schedules, NBC supplied resources, and no conference title game...only to get his teeth kicked in once in. Except last season in the ACC Covid year when Clemson kicked their teeth in at the Conference title game. He padded his win total against the service academies and a crippled USC program. Seems like he was always on the hot seat too. Notre Dame and their fans don't seem to care he left either. I'm sure I will be told I'm a dumbass and he will get over the top at LSU with the same resources but far tougher yearly schedule

The fit I do not see though is yes LA kids go to LSU for the most part but for LSU to be a contender it needs to able to recruit throughout the southeast. Kelly does not have those connections.
The word is that that Corey Raymond and Kevin Faulk have been retained by LSU. They were the recruiting coordinator and player development specialist. They do all the recruiting heavy lifting.

With the right staff he will be successful at LSU IMO
