What? There are 100 other reasons to bring UNC into the SEC
If anything thank God for another mediocre football program. Bring in UVA for their resources and market too, need to bring in more wins for the top of the conference.

Our UNC site reporters have said naming his son as head coach in waiting is unlikely, but the longer this drags out I guess it could happen.

He's just using the reputation Brady built to collect a few more big checks before riding into the sunset.

That is going to be a horrific fit. There’s no way Belichick has the patience to deal with college kids, NIL and the portal

Man, he's never going to recruit
Better hire some guys to do that!

Bill’s 24 year old girlfriend followed UNC football accounts on instagram and our board is freaking out. This is officially the most ridiculous coaching search ever.

So they fired Mack Brown because he was too old for 70 year old Belechick?
Maybe they just put the hand rails in the HC's private bathroom and want to get their money's worth

LSU is trying to sign a QB who was previously committed to UNC under Brown. I guess if you were willing to sign with Mack Brown, Belichick makes sense.

BB won in the NFL precisely because of the very things college football doesn't have: consistency at the QB position, a salary cap, player contracts, and a draft.
He exploited the salary cap with a unique relationship with Brady where he took well below market rate in order to save money for the team around him, and then convinced other veterans desperate to win a ring with Brady to play for less. He never had to use high picks at the QB position or trade up for one, and was always in a position of strength to negotiate trading back in the draft to fill depth with cheap young players. Once he had you under contract he owned you and was notorious for essentially blackballing any player who dissented or complained.
There is not a single thing about him that would appear to translate to the college game. His scheme defensively is extremely complex and takes time to learn, much like Saban's. He is not built for roster overhauls each year.
