LSU/Alabama was on a path to being really good until Wade got canned.

Dale Brown vs Wimp Sanderson in the 80s was a fantastic rivalry.

I know this will get superbowl comments, but Auburn and Arkansas have developed a recent rivalry. Wes and Allen Flannigan are from Arkansas and the teams are on an upward trajectory with competitive a-hole head coaches.

I think that's most of it. Don't forget about Chris Jones, either. It's similar to when Ole Miss was recruiting Arkansas players and they all wanted a big game against their home state. The rest is due to Auburn having good teams under Pearl, despite what BJ may think.

Kentucky has played UT more than any other opponent in basketball (152 times), only slightly more than they've played Vandy. Here is how UK's program record is against SEC competition.

(Team/Games/Winning %)

1. Tennessee - 152 - .671
2. Vanderbilt - 151 - .755
3. Florida - 139 - .712
4. Georgia - 135 - .837
5. Alabama - 121 - .727
6. LSU - 114 - .754
7. Auburn - 113 - .796
8. Ole Miss - 111 - .892
9. Miss St. - 107 - .822
10. South Carolina - 64 - .797
14. Arkansas - 44 - .667
20. Missouri - 17 - .824
27. aTm - 14 - .714

So, they've played Tennessee more than any other program in the country, and (for teams they've played more than 10 times), UT has the 10th highest winning %.

The programs ahead of UT are (listed by Opponent - number of games played - UK winning %):

1. Marquette - 11 - .364
2. Michigan State - 14 - .429
3. UNC - 39 - .436
4. UCLA - 16 - .500
5. St. Louis - 16 - .500
6. Duke - 20 - .500
7. Ohio St. - 14 - .571
8. Indiana - 49 - .612
9. Louisville - 45 - .667
10. Tennessee - 152 - .667

ETA...numbers subject to change after tomorrow.

This is a really long way to say we've beaten your arse more than any teams arse we've beaten over the years.

In all seriousness, most of those Kentucky wins were when the rest of the SEC couldn’t give less of a damn about basketball. In 2023, Tennessee is Top 10 and Kentucky just lost to a team at Rupp Tennessee beat by 40 in Columbia. If it makes you feel better, put Navy on your schedule. We don’t give a damn about basketball either.

No offense to the program, but Kentucky under cal are not very relevant anymore.

This program has always carried the load in the conference but now they are an afterthought. I used to despise cal but now I just don’t care because he’s proven what we always knew, heck of a recruiter, can’t coach a lick. Get the best players and roll the ball out there and let them go to work.

Good luck getting rid of him, the conference needs your program to be where it used to be.
