You do realize yes Miss State had their way at LSU last year but LSU had a chance to win that game as horrible as LSU played. When Bama plays like that it's the excuse that Bama beat themselves. We all know LSU cannot beat themselves!!!
Don't give me that bull. While that may be true, it was more of what Mullen and State did to let LSU have a chance than anything LSU did. That was a total annihilation.

How much do they return in the front 7?
They lose
3/4 up front : Jones, Eulls, Smith
2/3 LBs : McKinney, Wells
Though they did play 8 guys up front last year. They lose 4/8 (the 3 mentioned plus Virges).

Jones is back up front. We are very well experienced because of our rotation.

No worries about MSU for the next 15 years or so

We return
OT - Jerald Hawkins
OG - Vadal Alexander
C - Andy Dodd
OG - Garrett Brumfield
OT - Ethan Pocic
But that's not even the reason why this game will be infinitely different.
In 2014, our starting DTs were Quentin Thomas and Christian LaCouture filling in after Ego Ferguson and Anthony Johnson played 95% of the snaps the prior year. Our starting MLB was DJ Welter.
Mississippi State ran the ball 49 times for 341 and 2 TDs.
In 2015, our starting DTs will be Christian LaCouture and Davon Godchaux with Travonte Valentine rotating in. Our starting MLB will be Kendell Beckwith.
With this starting rotation in 2014, opponents accrued the following rushing totals:
32 carries 123 yards 1 TD
27 carries 71 yards 0 TD
34 carries 137 yards 0 TD
29 carries 106 yards 0 TD
38 carries 95 yards 2 TD
21 carries 84 yards 1 TD

Not necessarily. The offense won't miss a beat. The defense is an unknown. We played a lot of people on the defensive side and Diaz will tear it like he did his first go around.

Josh Robinson?

Easy win. Dak throws for 400 and runs for 200.

Uhh . . . your offensive line, which dominated SEC defensive lines until late October or so, is a bit depleted in 2015.

What about him? This year, we'll be spreading the ball out more since we have one of the leagues best and most experienced WR corps. Aeris Williams in the backfield will be a perfect transition for new offensive linemen.

The o-linemen that Butch didn't steal from you are all having steel rods placed in various parts of their bodies.

Doubt Dak will run wild on LSU again. Chavis' ill-advised "ghost linebacker" scheme was a lot to blame for all those yards. Same went for Auburn w/Marshall. LSU certainly won't be taking them lightly this time.

Rankin at left tackle will upgrade this line. Losing Beckwith and Day hurts but it's not like they are irreplaceable. Hell the o line didn't miss a beat when Day went out anyway.

He had good vision and was a tough runner. Horrendous in pass protection though

Nothing says stout defense like Kevin "70" Steele.

There is really no way to know how this game will play out if we are honest, for the following reasons:
(1) State loses a lot of experience on both sides of the ball;
(2) LSU is replacing the DC;
(3) MSU is replacing the DC; and
(4) LSU has no clue what sort of QB play it will get...or even who the QB will be.
There are two absolutes...Dak Prescott and Leonard Fournette.
At this juncture, just based on State's play at home last year, coupled with having a Heisman caliber QB, you have to give them a slight advantage in my opinion.
That said, LSU has more talent on paper, so I would not be at all surprised to see LSU win either.
