Don’t like the idea of a big 10 recruiting footprint reaching Florida and NC. The sec should be proactive and grab, FSU, Clemson, UNC, and Miami to lock this part of the country down. It’s inevitable the big will go after those 4 teams.

And the boldest move of all? How about the #36 media market that is in a city sitting right on the boarder with a SEC member state but is in another state that would hit really close to the Heart of the Big10? With a historically good basketball program and recently in the College Football Playoffs? None other than.... Cincinnati!!!
We already bring the Cincinnati market. UK and Ohio State share it. Both teams games are broadcast on radio there, as well as evening sports talk. Do your research next time. It's the same as the Louisville market. We've already got it covered.

When I lived in Cincinnati there were a shocking number of Kentucky fans. I saw more Kentucky fans and definitely more Ohio State fans than Cincinnati fans.

I guess FSU expects tax payers to bail them out as usual.

Hopefully the Big Ten adds the four west coast schools and four ACC teams (including UNC) go to the SEC. The ACC could then raid the Big 12 of it's better schools because they have a bunch of garbage teams now.

Sorry, unless you show me a TV contract that declares southern Ohio as bringing value to the SEC media rights, I will respectfully disagree. Louisville, of course, as it is part of Kentucky, but conference realignment is all about media rights and contracts. This is why Clemson and FSU are not great fits. They don't add much if anything to the SEC footprint. North Carolina, especially Raleigh/Durham would be a huge win. Same with Virginia. Can't go South or East any more, so either West or North.

The big12 is in a better position with better tv deal than the ACC. The ACC can’t go get anyone relevant.

Nobody in the big12 is presently trying to leave. They have other power 5 teams begging them to come in.

Who’s begging to come to the ACC? The conference with 7 major members joining forces to try to get out? With a top 2 program in its conference boldly saying they have to get out and it’s not working.

ACC is shite and will eventually end up irrelevant. The BIg12 has secured itself in the spot just below the SEC and Big10. The top teams will figure out a way to leave the ACC.

The SEC has the best teams. They're trying to beat quality with quantity.

Okay. Here me out.

You take Oklahoma State and 3 other ACC schools.

We have better facilities than the ACC and we’ve been 19th in media views the past decade.

CFB is turning into an arms race before our very eyes. This could be beneficial in a few ways but I see it doing a whole lot of damage in the process. Yes it would be make things more easier for us to see classic blue bloods play each other more frequently than in the past. However, the travel these student athletes would have to go through would suck a million times over. Imagine an Ohio State athlete having to travel to Southern California to play USC then the following week having to travel to Oregon all the while practicing, doing your schoolwork, and fulfilling your other obligations as a student athlete. That's gonna be a problem.

But more importantly, look at the major media markets that the SEC adds with those schools: Miami, Atlanta, and Raleigh-Durham. The SEC suddenly becomes a significantly stronger basketball conference and captures three of the largest TV markets in the country.

You don't need to add the local school to capture a media market when you have a large alumni base from an SEC school (or several in the case of Atlanta)in the metro area. As for Miami, you'd probably bring in more eyeballs in that market adding FSU than you would UM. That said, UF already has a large alumni base in South Florida and Miami is a fickle sports town anyway. The real benefit of adding FSU isn't gaining traction in the market, but keeping the Big Ten out of it,

UNC/Duke probably a package deal, like texas/OK and UCLA/USC. Rivals that realize they are stronger together.

Big 10 is not going to add more PAC teams. It adds no value what so ever. This is all posturing. My guess this is to appease USC and UCLA who all of the sudden figured out this is going to suck for all their sports other than football.

The reality is many people nationally don't even know what State Clemson is in.

There are very few cases where "STATE", "TECH", "A&M" or directional state university is a bigger draw than "University of *state*".

Ohio State, Louisiana State, Penn State and Southern Cal are pretty much it. Florida STate is not on that list.
