Easy. SoS
Wisconsin, Purdue, UCLA, Arkansas, and South Carolina all have a tougher strength of schedule than Texas. You think they should be in??

Takes a little more analysis than that, hoss. SoS matters only as far as assessing the outcomes.

You gotta look talented in your games. You gotta win your games.

You lost to Florida. You should have lost to Kentucky and Miss St. Bad, bad teams. 2/3 fired their coaches.

A playoff helps determine who should play for the championship. You looked totally outclassed in your loss to Georgia. What more does the country need to see to know you’re not competitive for a national title?

I’m not convinced.

Neither is Vegas. They think maybe you’re #11 at best. Would get bumped by other conference champs.

Furthermore, no one in the 2025 season has played Ohio State closer in football than the Texas Longhorns.

1. Just stop, losing a game isn’t a resume builder

2. No one else in the playoff mix (which you aren’t) lost to 3 win Florida

3. Played them close is a hilarious way to put “ down 14 points until garbage time”

disqualifying. I'm not super happy about Bama being in either. But at least they have good QB play

Remind me, didn't arch score a TD by running, throwing, and catching vs Pig?

You are correct, losing a game isn’t a resume builder. Texas lost to Florida and they hurt themselves. Because of that loss, they don’t deserve a playoff spot. What I’m telling you, Texas is a one hell of a good football team. You just don’t know if that team will show up. However , it did show up Friday night and spanked the Aggies. I don’t have hatred for either program, you however allow your distain for Texas to blur your vision. All of my relatives attended A&M. One died in a helicopter crash on campus, the other was a yell leader. My immediate family is Texas Tech family. Again, the Texas Longhorns are a very good team. So good, they beat you, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. Played Ohio State in a very close scoring game. Have a great day.

Miami beat that same Florida team.

What’s Texas’ argument for being ahead of Miami?

Texas beat A&M, who beat Notre Dame.
Texas beat OU, who beat Alabama (they also lost to 4-8 FSU who just got boat raced by 4-8 Florida).

I have no issue with Miami being ahead of Texas, but to have Notre Dame ahead of Texas after they played nobody and OU when Texas beat them 23-6 on a neutral field is asinine.

With y’all using all of the logic that we lost to 4-8 Florida, then we should just do a 4 team playoff and call it a day. Big 10 champ, sec champ, big 12 champ (if it’s Texas tech), and whatever at large.

Miami should be no where close to the playoffs and same with Norte dame.

Why does an A&M fan have any opinions on the Texas schedule? Texas played five times the elite opponents.

And yet it was the same cupcake schedule Texas had last year, except Ohio St didn't suck like Michigan did. Until the CFP last year Texas lost twice to the only opponent they had scheduled worth a shite.

Now the schedule means something. Miss me with the bullshite.

As a fan I hope you enjoy watching fewer and fewer big matchups before October because that’s what you are going to get period.

There’s an argument to be made that we are in the CFP BECAUSE we played a tough road OOC game in September.

Texas doesn't get in. Do they cancel next years OOC game against Ohio State at Texas? Then do they schedule a Group5 team so they have a win.

If you think that, thats your opinion and right to it.

An 11-1 ATM in the SEC (even with a below average to bad SEC Schedule) would make it in, see Indiana last year.

Now if you were 10-2 sure that ND could be a trump card (although I still think you get in).

I should have framed it that way. You’re right.

Its so cute watching texas fans blame the OSU game when they should instead blame the Florida game

Because Florida is and was hot garbage. No matter what Texas looked like early or late in the year, none of those versions were bad enough to lose to THIS Florida team.
