I believe you are correct. Per capita the State of Georgia puts more players in the NFL. Texas puts more players in
D-1 football. However, if you were shopping for olympian athletes, no other state comes close to California. Now after saying all of this, I believe the question was if you could only recruit two states. California, Texas and Florida, but not necessarily in this order and it would change each year based on the needs of the team. Louisiana and Mississippi produce great football players but have a much smaller population. If Kiffin can keep the talent in state, LSU will win some championships, because he can cherry pick Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. LSU roster mostly Louisianans.
