LSU didn't want him stop trying to insert that into the conversation.

I thought aggies were smart. If you're courting someone behind the scenes (let's say it's any of Corbin, Vitello, O'Connor) why would you draw attention to that?

He didn't want LSU either. But it appears Bianco may not as well. Maybe you can pull Godwin away from might ESU?

We will see

Re ColoAg, some days he’s reasonable while others days he’s a complete troll. The guy is schizophrenic in that regard.

I would prefer Sarloos to Schloss - have said as much. Think TCU will continue to dominate that conference. But I give Bjork credit for going after who he wanted. I'm a fan of numerous other coaches out there

Everyone knows I'm not that big of a fan. At least the A&M boards do

Recency bias here since we just played them, but I think LSU is really missing out if they aren’t pursuing Link Jarrett. If by some turn of events Lemonis wasn’t our coach next year I would be hiring that guy literally the next day.

He's done a great job but has two things working against him:
1) LSU folks will just see "Notre Dame".
2) 2021 was his first full season at Notre Dame. Granted, much better than any season since Paul left Notre Dame but it's not much to go on.

I think he'll be a strong candidate for the Florida State job if Mike Martin Jr. doesn't pan out (likely) assuming somebody else doesn't snap him up first.

ColoradoAG made it clear during the search he did not personally care for Schloss. Nothing wrong with that.

The same thing is true with floating Casey. Woodward knew that the fanbase would hate it after their reaction to Heimlich pitching in 2018.

Wait a minute. We have LSU fans that seriously think floating Casey was another 4D chess smokescreen instead of an obviously naive tone-deaf flirtation that turned out exactly as one would expect it would?

How are you still questioning that no one in the media knows what's really going on?

The media certainly doesn't have all the answers to the puzzle and that's hardly unique to LSU. They are only as good as their sources. We are probably never going to find out all the coaches that Woodward has talked to, directly or indirectly. The nature of any big time coach search is that both parties are cagey. All part of the dance.

But I would bet the e-lives of everyone here that LSU did indeed seriously engage O'Sullivan, Casey and Bianco. Way too much smoke there. This "smokescreen" garbage is just a fiction of certain sports talk jocks and their ilk on the Tiger Rant. It's laughable to think LSU, even the sainted Woodward, is that good at manipulating the media. The Title IX mess alone in the last year should make that much clear. Leaks and LSU go hand in hand.

All that said, I still have faith in Woody to make a good hire. Unlike Alleva, he has a spine and is going to do his job and hire the best coach he can get.

You're joking me, right?

Schloss has nothing to do with why those were posted

Opinions change.

I believed Lsu would be able to get him and A&M most likely too. But now I am starting to change my opinion too. I think he's happy at UT and getting the tools and support he needs.

From what I have gathered on Sully, LSU is the one that walked away first.

It's one thing when someone changes their opinion, quite another when a poster contradicts themselves daily

Kendall swears up and down that that isn't the case. OTOP says it was a board member that was going to nix everything. Either story, Woody and co-wanted Sully and didn't get him.

I can think of 19-1 very good reasons why LSU should have sprinted like Carl Lewis away from Sully.
