(LSU fans need not read this post, you won't understand )

B ham radio could handle two sports stations. One a Bama lean, one an Auburn lean. I know most Auburn fans hate Finebaum cause they think he is pro Bama. Most Bama fans will hate hosts like Scarbinskycause tgey think he is pro Auburn. The OD and thge Sports czars try to go down the middle and it doesn't cut it. Somehow the roundtable pulls it off, even with Bama homer Dunnaway.

then we are enemies

sorry but when I listen to sports radio I want to hear about sports.

I don't want to hear a bunch of fat middle aged wannabe comedians do mediocre bits about some boobs they saw inbetween segments where they give me vapid blowhard barfly opinions that I can hear from any random dickhead who only occasionally watches Sportscenter. Their basketball, college football, and soccer knowledge is especially awful.

Bham can have 2 sports stations bc of the market size and the obvious passion the market has for college football plus it's becoming a melting pot of sorts for sec schools

now if only we could get rid of that god awful fox sports daybreak show (that comes on from 12-2 in the afternoon)

oh hell yeah, just awful. I don't really listen to the radio that much on my off days but I've caught snippets of that show enough to know that WNSP really screwed the pooch as usual...

driving to work early in the morning... I'm not really bothered with what is on the radio

but Sports Drive in the afternoon fricking sucks man. Mark Heim & Randy Kennedy are so effing bland man. I make no apologies when I say that I miss Neal McCready.

I really don't listen to the OD with Jay, Al and Tony very much. Occasionally, when I would in the past, if someone offered a little bit of criticism, Tony and Al would get their feelings hurt and go off on the caller. Usually Tony would just yell them off the phone. Jay is only there about 20 percent of the time it seems and spends most of his time censoring Tony.
I can't stand the OD. Al is actually the only one I can tolerate. Jay is horribly unprepared when he is there. He knows less about Alabama football than my 10-year-old daughter. He continually butchers information about recruiting and other things. I don't even believe he reads the news. He just gets on the air and wings it. He literally knows nothing about the current state of the football team and it infuriates me. I think he's to caught up in the Country music/celebrity stuff and just does the radio thing to have an income so his wife doesn't have to be the only bread winner. That station must give him a ridiculous amount of vacation days.

At least Al keeps up with Auburn and its recruiting. He clearly is involved with what is going on at Auburn.

And Tony...god I can't stand him. He believes it is his job is to come up with the craziest devil's advocate positions he can and then beat callers over the head when they don't agree. There is no way he actually believe half the stupid shite he says. If he really does believe it, the concept of logic has escaped him completely.

so will jox be getting their espn affiliation back? right now they are with fox i believe.

glad to see the end of the sports czars. worst sports show i've ever listened to. the fact they were the zone's highest rated show tells you all you need to know about that station.

bet the dallas guys are toast. RT back to middays.

sad to see the griff and scarbinsky show gone. pretty solid show especially when compared to its morning counterpart.

once again matt coulter is out of a job. i'm sure he will get his 8756th show somewhere else sooner rather than later.

You and me both. It's really nothing more than the Rick and Bubba show with more sports sprinkled in. I assume the people that listen are just Rick and Bubba fans. Very glad to see it go.

One can only hope. They are the worst sport talk show in the country.

No shite. I had them on while driving around on Tuesday and they spent like 10 minutes talking about the shitty 80's rock band Toto.

No. In fact the true reason he went off the air was due to pulling an unprecedented 0 share in the ratings.

The morning show is painful....it's time to freshen shite up. I don't mind the afternoon show too bad, it's kind of bobo tho.

Didn't the side kick (don't remember his name) from the MoJo morning show on 104.3 in Huntsville change and was the 3rd guy on the Matt and Scott mid-day show?

Scarbinsky needs to just move to a different market, this has to be his hint that he lost it locally in Alabama.

Scarbinsky lost it because he has tried to turn over a new leaf and say good things about Bama and Saban, but you can see his heart is not in it, and he always wants to pump up Auburn. There is nothing wrong with that, but in Alabama, you can only support one team and no matter who you are, you can not flip flop. The Auburn fans did not appreciate the new Scarbinsky and the Bama fans don't want him.
A lot of people always think that women know nothing about football and shouldn't say anything because we've never played, but you'll take the words from someone like him that obviously has never played a down as gospel. The very idea that he has a ballot in the Heisman campaign depresses me. I have never forgiven him for trying to be cute and prevent Mark Ingram from winning the award. Scarbinsky is the main reason that I never listened to that station, or will not purchase a Birmingham news paper. In my opinion, he is the reason that this station did not make it, and I do hate it for the employees, but this has to tell them something about the company that they worked for, if it will let the press know before they do that as of Friday, they will be out of a job.

He's never been anything more than a poor man's Finebaum. He has tried to be the antagonist that FB used to be, except he hasn't the wit or logic behind it.
