Yep, it's the fans that take this too seriously
Highly doubt it.
Why all of a sudden did she hate Alabama 3 years later?
Easy. Because living in Auburn, being around Auburn fans, she was exposed to stupid, petty bullshite that fans of both schools love to make up.
Of course she's going to take Auburn's side in this. Just human nature.
If you take a step back, and look at it thru someone else's eyes, you'll realize how pathetic this 'rivalry' has turned into.

That is pathetic. A Bama grad made that video? Seriously? At some point, I hope we realize we are dealing with people's lives here. Yes, she was judgmental and over the top. But, I think the mocking and ridicule was a bit much.
You didn't realize this? That video was heavily edited so that he could make fun of her. The video did hurt some but not as much as people think, Gus did show the full video but that was a side bar to some of the other problems, such as him having no HC experience.

she said stupid shite (really stupid shite). it got out. it's not a big deal and any fault is on her
this is the logical response but for some reason we've decided instead to cancel the Iron Bowl
What a bunch of melodramatic nonsense. I wouldn't care if Paul Bryant Jr. uploaded the video.

she's no child- if you're being videotaped you control yourself and your comments. it's her fault regardless of who spliced the tape together.

frickin knew that wasn't malzahns offense this year.

There's idiots on both sides. You appear to be one of them, implying it's only fringe Bama fans doing it. Corky Frost ring a bell?

Shut the frick up Harvey. No one takes this shite as serious as you.

NOT TRUE==== plus she found it offensive, Kansas hated it, it went viral...
She was offended by what she said? Maybe her goofy arse shouldn't have said all that stupid shite then?

That's like you posting some asinine message on here and then blaming other ppl for you posting it.

judging from the anger in here, a few of you Auburn folks are taking it pretty serious.

BOOM. Kristi can't talk about crazy fans if she is going to add fuel.

Likely true.
But Gus, ol' buddy... as much as the Bama fans in the state may have said differently, Gene is the HEAD COACH of the Auburn University football program. And he can do what he wants.
To me the meddling issue between Chiz and Gus is the real story in the article, but everyone wants to focus on the video.

Who is more crazy? Kristi Malzhan or Michelle Bachman?

The sports agent is an idiot for making that video and then admitting to it.
Exactly, I was stunned when I put that together in my mind. Him being a Bama fan is about par for the course with how things have gotten in this rivalry, but that doesn't change the fact that her dumb arse said all that shite into a microphone. There's no point in being mad at the guy who made the video.

Sports agent John Phillips of the Breakthrough Sports Agency acknowledged Wednesday night that he put together the edited version that appeared on YouTube. Phillips earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Alabama.
The original video that appeared on youtube wasn't edited at all. It was straight from the Church's Production Department. THAT video was grabbed and edited to the high points, but it was also copied and pasted by many, many people in the weeks before it started getting yanked due to the church's copyright claim.
The fact that somebody edited it down to the lowlights and added comments is not exactly "grassy knoll" type shite...He didn't make her say it, did he?

What the hell is everyone so worked up about? She is the one that made a fool of herself and her family. It is not like this guy put words in her mouth or anything.

The problem, everyone gets way to involved in what 18-22 year old boys are doing. It's just a game. I really wish the state of AL would get an NFl team... That would take some of the focus off the year round love feast of AU/UA.
I do too and Bham was actually pretty close to this happening in the mid to late 90s as there were some pretty strong rumors of the Buffalo Bills possibly relocating to Bham. The problems is the idiot voters in the Bham area that voted down a 1 cent sales tax increase with the MAPS plan in 1998. That would have built a 70,000 seat dome stadium among other projects. Unfortunately, that was also at a time when Bham actually had a very strong corporate community for a metro of only 1 million residents. Bham at the time had 7 Fortune 500 headquarters which was as many headquarters as much larger metros like Seattle, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Phoenix. Unfortunately, with the mergers and buyouts of the last decade that's no longer the case. If MAPS passed and Bham did end up getting the struggling Bills at the time, who knows how things would be different between Alabama and Auburn fans. They would at least have had one rooting interest in common.

If I were an Auburn fan I'd just say bye,bye to Team Malzahn. Addition by subtraction. The Gus Bus was in the ditch and Kristi's out of body experience isn't going away anytime soon.

Get a grip people. The "Bama lawyer" is not Bama's lawyer, he's a guy who went to school AT Bama.
quote:No, he just decided to edit the tape to highlight her interview and make it look as bad as possible because she was the wife of an Auburn coach and he is a Bama fan. Seems a little pathetic, but not that big of a deal.
Also, he didnt make her act like a fool and say outlandish shite. She did that herself.
